The Jaws Test

when I was in kindergarten, my babysitter had the Jaws novel. I read the opening scene where the swimmer girl got her leg bitten off, and it scared me so much I threw the book across the room and hid under the couch...

Next day I read that scene again, and still ended up under the couch.

Read it every day for months.

I like being scared.

I actually thought that Jaws was the rare exception where the movie was better than the book. Then again, I was a kid when I read the book, so maybe I would appreciate it more now. Which do you prefer? Book or movie?

I prefer the book and the movie, i'd still prefer Quint drowning insted of get eaten though.

So far I watched it every day (2 times I fell asleep)

This is a serious question, and I mean it with good intent:

You've created several threads about how you're unhappy with your life. Is watching the same movie every day for a year going to improve this unhappiness, or do you feel that the time could be better spent putting effort into improving things for yourself?

Maybe he's just decided to give up and retreat into his fantasy world of Amity Island, where he can be chief of police and not one, but 2 shark fisherman/experts!

I hated the Hooper/Mrs. Brody plot. And I really liked Dreifus as Hooper so movie.

I feel like CashforStash needs to read your posts more often. Especially in light of the "I have a Jaws fetish" thread.
