Bane was clearly going to give/share Batman a hit, if you know what I mean.

Half Baked 2: Bane of the Ganja

I don't know with 100% certainty since as you say we didn't see how it played out because Gordon interrupted him. You asked me what I thought he was going to do and I told you. Given Joker had a knack for cutting smiles on people's faces it's not a big stretch.

You saying Bane might not have been intending to shoot Batman with that shotgun is the height of stupidity.
my stupidity doest come from that in reality it comes from me trying to reason about the joker with "the joker".

Douglass, Patrick Harvey, Richard Dent, maybe Gambol.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought carving smiles were Joker's signature in the movie.

No, you're not wrong.

Nevermind him saying "we both know I have to kill you now". Hahahaha

LOL!!!

Yeah, that's real stupid of you. It's not as though I haven't been backing up my points with actual proof and logic.

Saying Bane wasn't going to shoot Batman when he pointed that shotgun in his face, well that's just common sense. I doubt that notion crossed anyone's mind when they watched that scene.

"We both know I have to kill you now" means "I want you to see how clean the inside of my gun barrel is".

the joker im really sorry if tdkr didnt live up to your standards man maybe someday someone can do justice to a batman trilogy. For now you just have the dark knight to watch and rewatch since rises lacks everything.

No need to apologize. It's hardly your fault.

maybe someday someone can do justice to a batman trilogy.

TDKR may have been a massive let down, but the brilliance of BB and TDK far outweighs the many shortcomings of TDKR, which I still like despite of it being a big step down from it's predecessors.

For now you just have the dark knight to watch and rewatch

Don't forget Batman Begins. That's also leaps and bounds above TDKR, too.

ohh and i never said bane was not goin to shoot batman if thats the impression i caused then im sorry i just didnt want to aswer it until you agreed that the joker scene could have played the same. Since we do not know what would have happen hadn`t Gor. been there.

yeah but rises ruined your trilogy man

Who needs a trilogy when you can have a nice duology?

I have Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Just because a third film didn't live up to my expectations and disappointed me doesn't mean it negated the first two (even though I don't HATE TDKR completely, it's still got Catwoman and a few other things like action scenes). You can always just look at Batman Begins and The Dark Knight as one entity with TDKR being some one off, cool, "what if" story. They're our films, you can feel whatever you want.

are you into filmaking joker????

As in making movies myself? No.

ohh but thats what you sound like joker :csad:

That's your misinterpretation. TDKR was a letdown for me. It doesn't match the greatness of BB and TDK. But did it ruin the whole trilogy on me? No. It would have to be X-Men 3 or Spider-Man 3 bad for that.

I always felt that TDK felt like a natural continuation of BB.

then you are right i did miss it, i thought we were talking about godfather part 3 here you scared me

stil no need to call someone stupid because we have different views i asume you are an adult right???

right! no quick response this time guess i have to say something about a comic book character in order to get a responce from you. get out of here nerd. go live life dont kill yourself defending fiction kid.

Nobody can say that's Talia at the stock exchange , and dont bring me that bullcrap about "if you know anything about camera"....that's never a good way to start any argument (it actually shows the complete ignorance) . I know a thing or two about film grammar , and that means jack shiiiit to my interpretation of that scene.

(and in my opinion i always thought that was a possibility , but considering the stock exchange is videotaped , she would be taking a lot of risks if Bruce caught her there by accident)

Why would you follow a random extra walking past extras out a door into the stock exchange?

The whole point of that scene is to show that the people in there aren't what they seem. Not the "business lady" walking into the room, not the "shoe shiner" not the "janitor", etc. etc.

Same tracking "shot" after she comes out of the elevator with Fox too.

It's funny how some of you will look for "deeper" meanings and explanations that aren't there, but something like a shot like that, while one of those stock guys are mentioning Bruce showing up at "her" party is nonsense.

Spatial direction to orientate the transition of the cut to another place...the inside.

Basic film grammar and typical aspect of western continuity editing.

And if she's Talia , that would be even sweeter.

But that's my opinion ,probably means nothing to you because i dont know "anything about camera work"....

Im not arguing so much the element of discussion , but the arrogance of how you said it.

Damn, some of you reaaallllyyyy don't like people criticizing TDKR

Showing that the individuals in the place aren't what they seem . . .

And c'mon, most of the people here that post, post in a haughty matter. I'll admit that my first post was a bit arrogant, but I've seen much worse. Haven't you?

No doubt :yay:

I think the Miranda at the stock exchange thing is open to interpretation. The shot certainly focuses on her, and then we also see Bane nodding to someone off screen.

But it could also just be a bit of noir-ish foreshadowing. Drawing attention to females who look like Miranda to plant subconscious seeds of suspicion and paranoia in the audience.

I'd be curious if Nolan would give a direct answer to that one.

For me the Joker, no doubt. That performance to me is very difficult to beat. I very much prefer the Joker's mind games to Bane's physically. Yeah, he wasnt just muscles, but i think Joker took it to a whole new level. Plus, Heath's performance is just so much fun to watch. I didnt walk out with the same enjoyment from Hardy's performance.

She had sex with the man she hated to "weaken him"? He looked pretty pumped jumping off the floor and heading down into the cave to suit up and find Bane to me.

Or do you that she really thought she'd convince Bruce to fly out somewhere (after she was practically given Wayne Enterprises/the board and the clean energy orb). LOL

I thought by saying getting him weak you would know what I mean, but I guess not...she made Bruce soft(no pun intended) to the point where Bruce could have agreed to leave Gotham with someone he had just slept with as any man would probably just do whatever the hell a woman wants to do after she bangs your lights out(again, no pun intended once more since the electricity did go out).

Why say "lol" to that when Talia obviously thought Bruce would agree since she even ****ing asked him?
