What about Joseph Gordon-Levitt for Barry Allen? Great actor, has the look,height, and the likable quality that Barry needs.

I know he was in TDKR but these things don't seem to matter anymore.

Cavill,Bentley,Atwell,Reynolds,Levitt.

They wont use anybody from Nolans trilogy cuz Nolan will take a part in getting Justice League off the ground. Dont like JGL for Barry anyway.

In the end I don't think either would be bad for MM but I think Mensah would bring a better presence to the character. Mensah FTW!

Mensah would bring presence and so would Elba but i think Mensah has the look and personality to match the character better. Reddick has the voice, the look (just as much as Mensah imo) but not the build. So it's a tough one. So it's down to what's more realistic. I think you might win with Mensah if it were actually down to those 3

Elba would be Aunt May if people had their way. I LOVE the guy as an actor but I have never been so tired of hearing a guy suggested for roles as I have of him.

Great and amazing as I know he is, just.so.over.suggested.

And frankly, his heimdall is great. Stick with Marvel IE.

For right now i think they should do the next trilogy without him, as a break from as many characters that Nolan used as possible. With the obvious exceptions of Gordon & Alfred. Then in like 10 years i wouldn't mind either Elba or Denzel playing Lucius.

Maybe that's best for Elba. Instead of coming to DC now to play a superhero like Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern, let him stay with Marvel/Thor. And years down the line he can play a small role like Fox in DC land.

Screw it. I finally got to see most of Djimon Hounsou's movies, especially ones where he isn't playing specifically African characters, and damn... he is spot on for Martian Manhunter.

He can be distant and cold, but still have the warmth of an older mentor. And he has a great resume with some previous work in genre films.
