The Last of Us The Last Of Us 2

For the n-th time... For the same reason people want criminals in jail even when they personally weren't victims of a crime. And in this case it affected everyone one way or another. Main damage was done to the devs and to the studio, which you dismiss as "not everyone is happy with ND anyway". The damage was also done to the communities, which isn't remotely as important, but it doesn't make it a non-issue. It is an issue. People wanted to experience the game as it was intended. Now for A LOT of people it's impossible. Dismiss it all you want, but I don't want to experience this leading up to any game in the future. Someone should get what they deserve.
It's a non-issue in the sense that no crime was committed against the community. Spoiling a game is not a crime in any way shape or form so that damage does not matter in the slightest. That is what I was referring to when I said that the things you were talking about were nothing more than first world problems and therefore non-issues. Was for the damage done to the devs and to the studio, the devs are going to get paid for their hard work anyway. The game getting leaked isn't going to stop them from receiving their checks. When I said not everyone is happy at ND (not with ND) I meant to say the leak does not affect their bottom line because at the end of the day they had a job to do, they did their job, and they'll be rewarded for it. I also edited my previous post but you seemed to have only responded to the first part of it.

Going in circles without getting what I'm saying. I'll leave you at that.

Don't tell me the game will have amazing huge locations like this one. Gorgeous art.

People speculate review copies are out already:

Maybe Sony wants early opinions? Once "Inside" series wraps up on Jun 3.

So yeah, early embargo lift is confirmed:

This is good news.

So 3:00 in the morning for me...

Should be an interesting breakfast time on that Friday.

I really hope,

they show the thing they should have shown 2 years ago. I mean it's way late now, but it would be nice.

Does anyone think this is going to review poorly? The gameplay looks great (way better then any other Naughty Dog game), and any chance anyone was going to complain about the story or characters died with the bigots. That doesn't mean it isn't going to be great. It most likely is. I just don't think there is anyway this doesn't review really well at this point. There will be 10/10s, above 95 on Metacritic, Reddit will lose it's mind and the metacritic user score will be a disaster that has to be adjusted. Just be happy it isn't coming out on Steam. :funny:

On a personal front, I am happy I read the spoilers. Both the BS and the real stuff. I had an emotional reaction and I honestly think there is going to be aspects of this game that never sit right with me because I do not feel like they have been upfront. But the more rational discussion of the content that seems to be coming out, seems to put my expectations in check in a way where I think I will be able to enjoy this. I am just happy I checked.

I didn't read the article, but I can think of at least 6 reasons in the first proper trailer why this would be the case. And I am not even talking about the gay kiss. :hehe:

I hope it will be reviewed fairly.
Unless we are judging whether something works or not (like TV ad products), how does one review something unfairly, especially art? I mean I guess people could lie, and that has happened quite a bit with video games, but beyond that of course.

Lies, exaggeration or overlooking of various aspect of the game. Of course, it's frequently subjective, but at the same time we usually can see when there's a weighted opinion and where it's some psycho rant, an attempt to fit into a specific narrative or a quickie. There's no place for bigotry or prejudice too.

I also hope they don't praise or hate the game out of scare to annoy vocal demographics.

The game is going to be critically acclaimed. The graphics, gameplay, and the presentation of the story are all going to be masterful. Mass Effect 3's ending was unanimously hating but it still holds a 93 on Metacritic.

I'm not getting it at launch but my disappointment with the game lies elsewhere not to do with the plot leaks.
