Horror 'The Last of Us' HBO Series

Yeah just from Part II alone, it's such a massive undertaking. I guess splitting it into three or four seasons is also for budgetary reasons.
That plus extra time to allow for Naughty Dog to make Part III. I definitely don't think that they'll pull a Game of Thrones if the game isn't out by the time the show is done adapting Part II. If anything they could do a TLOU spinoff to tide people over if that ends up being the case.

Yeah, that's the way to go if they can. Hopefully there has been good progress on TLOU3 with Factions being dropped.

They could do something with Abby and Lev in the interim I suppose. Expand on them looking for the Firefly's from the game.

Stretching TLOU Part II for three seasons, yet Joel is most likely going to die at the end of episode 1. :o

Thanks for above, I'd love the TV show people to experience this the way it's meant to be.

I'm sure no one is going to get into the really big spoiler stuff at least without tags - but it's good to get a reminder every now and then that we are in a show thread for a very story-heavy game with non-gamers in our midst. Cheers and enjoy all!

I know it's not set in stone by any means, but I'm taking this as a semi-confirmation. Part II can be adapted in about 20 episodes, so if that translates to three 7-episode seasons then that should be more than enough. Though the bigger question with that is where the split should be between seasons 3 and 4.

Well this just confirms one big thing.

We're getting Abby's day 1 in season 2.
At first glance I thought it was more of Ellie Day 1 stuff but I forgot about the Chinatown location in Abby's Day 1. I guess there's a good chance that we'll be seeing both perspectives side by side, which I guess makes sense otherwise season two would basically be all Abby.
