Yeah, this looks fantastic. I’m ready to hurt again.

Excellent use of “Future Days“. Though, considering the outbreak happened in 2003 in the show, and that single was released in 2013 in our world, I wonder if they’re going to explain that. Maybe they’ll just say that Pearl Jam in their universe just wrote it earlier.

There are maybe like 3 shots in the trailer that are meant for the second half of the game. I'm curious where it fits in the show.

Methinks they’re definitely playing around a bit with the structure and order of the story and events a bit with this and the next one or two seasons, which I don’t mind, as long as it doesn’t ruin the overall impact. After the first season, I’m confident that whatever choices they make with how they tell this version of the story will be done with tact and love for the source material.

Just a theory but I think the Catherine O'Hara character is supposed to be a therapist in Jackson and I would not be surprised if we continue to get scenes of his sessions throughout the season(s) to keep him in the show after killing him on top of the flashbacks if they do it.

I imagine it will be similar to how the flashback cold opens in season one fed into each of their respective episodes. Something said by Joel or the therapist in each session relates to something that happens, a theme or a character in the episode. It would also just be a great way to get more Joel throughout the season before you know what inevitably happens and the golf club of Damocles finally drops.

I think Isaac is going to have a Bill type of episode to show the build up between the two factions. The only issue I had with the second game is Isaac’s development.

Their hiding Kaitlyn’s body but she is bigger then she was before she was cast. They can get away with it in the 2nd season because it’s in the snow and she will have snow gear but I expect her to show her “guns” in season 3 when they go to a warmer environment.

Yeah it's definitely not going by the same overall structure as the game (for the most part).

It appears there not trying to fool the viewer with Abby. I think it’s funny that they show her arms with no muscles. That tells me she might have a physical change eventually. They are picking her story up after Joel massacred the Firefly’s. Smart idea by HBO because this will show fans where she is coming from and stop trolls from spoiling stuff.
