i rented it on ppv and loved the movie it could've used a little more martial arts action but i enjoyed it
ironic kristen kreuk left a super-hero reimaging smallville and now she has a super-heroine character of her own chuin li

I can't view that since I'm at work but is that the vid I mentioned in my previous post?

Watched it last night-
Poor adaptation of the game. Very poor.
However, Chris Klien saved the film singlehandedly. Every moment he was on screen was just pure awesome. I almost want to see more films with Klien playing Nash.

Chris Klein. Best performance of 2009?

Why I'm I even posing a question. None of the actors I've seen this year have even touched the heels of Kleins versatile acting and at times chillingly ethereal stride. He has completely raised the bar.

I'm sure all the actors in this film are up to their necks with acting opportunities after starring in this misunderstood masterpiece.

Not just best performance but he should win awards for best hair and best forehead as well.

Van Damme's Street Fighters >>>>>> Legend of Chun Li.

This movie would've been the worst movie of the year, but thanks to Dragonball Evolution it's the sceond worst movie of the year.
I hope the director(also directed Doom) never directs another video game movie ever again.

Don't forget about Nick Cage he is a strong contender for both those awards.

Oh of course!

Cage and Klein are going to have an epic battle butting heads like mountain rams. I honestly would pay good money to see that.

That sentence makes for some great imagery. :hehe:

What a sight that would be.

Um maybe because Chun Li was not only a spectacular movie with great depth and soul but the DVD case is one hell of a door stopper.

Why was this thread revived!?

LOL..:woot:
This comment just made my day...

Someone needs to do a manip or something of that. Make it look like a Mortal Kombat VS screen, but use the pic of cage with the exaggerated bird hairdo. :)

That's horrible but awesome at the same time. LOL

Greatest movie idea ever.
I smell an oscar.

*They have an award for films being incredibly awesome right?

Hahahaha

Just looking at that pic again has me laughing hard. Klein's face is dead serious like he's saying "Bring it Cage!" while Cage looks like he's sitting there thinking to Klein, 'you have no idea what's about to happen to you'.

^ I can't even tell who's who! :lmao:

I must see this epic masterpiece of a movie!

I saw the DVD, and goodness gracious, Chun-Li doing the spinning bird kick looked awful. AWFUL!

In fact almost all the fight sequences are horribly shot. Kreuk did not look like a convincing fighter a tall.

Bison, Balrog, and Vega were all horrible.

Moon Bloodgood and Nash were useless.

The DVD extras are hilarious listening to the producers pat themselves on the back acting like they actually did a good job and honored the material. Justin Marks . . . figures this guy wrote the terrible He-Man and Voltron scripts as well.

I just rented this movie last night and I was deeply disappointed. I agree with ALL your comments with the exception on Balrog. Seeing him fight in this movie was better than what he did in Jean Cluade Van Damn's movie. Having said that, Jean Cluade's movie was a lot better (as corny as it was). Aren't the qualities of movies suppose to improve over time? Where in the world were all the other characters? Just when I thought we'd at least see Ryu in this movie Chun Li responds, "maybe some other time." WTF?!:cmad:

it's called "The Legend of Chun Li" and it was clearly stated plenty of times before the movie was released they were not going to be in it.

Sorry you lead yourself on and were eventually dissapointed because you can't read and follow updates, you're fault

guess it sucks to be you :cwink:
