So Robin Shou has been in Mortal Kombat 1&2, DOA, and now Street Fighter.

...yeah, he's not typecast at all!

i don't think he was in DOA. but i like the guy.

in you look at the old BEP videos his dancing style is somewhat reminisent of how Vega moves and he's apparently practitioner of Jeet Kune Do; and also chances are he won't have any lines.

That makes Taboo even more expendable not less. They could hire an expert stuntman who knows martial arts (ala Ray Park), especially if Vega had no lines. It would be not only cheaper but they'd get a superior performance.

Of course, if he does have some lines they could dub it with a real actor in post-production.

All Taboo brings to this is his fanbase. Which might not like it if they can't see his face or hear him speak.

Does anyone remember who was the old cast in Street Fighter Besides Jean Claude that is.

Ming Na was Chun Li, Raul Julia was M. Bison (in his last major role), Wes Studi was Sagat and of course, Kylie Minouge was Cammie and the guy that played Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reincarnations was Zangief. The guy that played Ryu was on a few episodes of Smallville a few seasons ago.

so far theyve cast Chris Klein as Charlie (Guile's mentor/best friend). no word on Guile yet.

Very nice. The storyboard isn't very revealing--but the action will surely be intense.

One would hope so, but the action may very well be crap, as any of the movie may be.
