Street Fighter is one of the few properties in which I would endorse just casting stuntmen/wrestlers/martial artists who resemble the characters - for the secondary characters, that is. There is no point casting proper actors because, well, the standard of real actor you'd get would be lame anyway. May as well get a lame actor who can fight and looks like the character, rather than a lame actor who sort of resembles the character, i.e. the entire cast of the 1994 Street Fighter, except Raul Julia. And Julia was, inevitably, completely unconvincing fighting Jean Claude Van Damme.

Agreed. Normally this is a route to disaster but SF is an exception.
