The thing about Superman is that a movie about him seems simple enough in concept... good guy doing good wholesome/heroic things and saves the world... but we've all been there done that, so audiences will want something new. I feel that Snyder will be able to deliver a story that isn't overcomplicated (Watchmen was too much for 1 movie) while delivering enough subtance to make Superman seem real. Plus Cavill's acting chops will definitely not hurt.

But can he do it in a film that doesn't look like a video game with irritating slow mo? I just don't know, knows :(

Watchmen didn't look like a video game, and as far as I know Sucker Punch only looks like a video game when they are in the girl's fantasy land.

I hated some of the action scenes in Watchmen, though. The friggin slow-mo! :cmad:

Wasn't Watchmen pretty light on the slo-mo, especially compared to 300? I remember being surprised at how little slo-mo there was during the alley fight, prison break, and showdown at Ozy's place.

They had some in the prison fight, and I don't know why in those scenes he did it. He didn't even showcase complicated moves in slo-mo in the prison!

I think SF is just anti slow motion. :p I think he only used it as much as he did in Watchmen to try and bring out the comic panels he was bringing to life. Or atleast, that's what he said. There's no reason for him to do it in Superman. But then, it doesn't bother me that much.

i've only seen watchmen once, but i remember the slow mo not necessarily being over done, but it was just used improperly. i don't need people jumping out of a ship in slow motion, but i'd be ok with using it if they're punching someone when they land.

i saw his other movie though, with the owls, and there wasn't a single action scene and nary an action shot that didn't use slow motion

I think the slo-mo would work with a character that can move as fast as Superman.

They make it work well on Smallville, now just imagine a bigger budget for those effects. It would look pretty badass.
one or two shots sure, that'd be great, but every time superman does anything...super? it'd get monotonous pretty quick
