Anyone who wasn't lucky enough to preorder going to wait in line Nov 18?

I think I will. Not sure where though. I can drive but I want to avoid driving on highways at 12am. Plus I think I have a curfew of 11pm since I'm only 17. If my parents comply or if I can convince my friend for the both of us to go, I can get to Target. If not, the best I can do is a GameStop or KB in my downtown.

Not sure about what time I should get there. I'm thinking 8-9pm is the best time to go. Not too late and not too early.

I'm gonna be waiting outside my Target. I'm gonna go at about 4 a.m. for their 8 a.m. opening. I've got a couple friends who are gonna be their too, so it won't be so bad. I'm hoping to be the first in line, but I'm sure some one even-more hardcore will beat me. I'll probably have my DS and iPod for entertainment.

Here's the deal:

Many of the gamers waiting for a PS3 won't get one, and they'll just wait two extra days for a Wii. You might have to think about that.

I'm just gonna raid every retail store I can think of. It's not a good plan, but beats waking up early.

Don't some stores have it that you can get it at midnight? I don't want to go at 4am for an 8am opening. If I did, my DS and MP3 player won't be far from me.

THANK YOU AGAIN, SB! You may have just saved me a ton of time. I'm gonna inquire (he,he, good vocab) about that ASAP.

I'm pretty sure GameStop does it. Target is probably open to Midnight anyway.

Why wait in front of a store for it to open on a cold, dreary morning?

GO TO A LOCAL MEIJER OR WAL-MART! I'm gonna go to my town's Meijer and lineup for it.

Wal Mart has already sold out it's preorders. Plus Wal Mart is pure evil. They make Darth Vader look like Santa.

ALL GameStops SHOULD be doing a midnight opening for the Wii, at least in the East Coast. I'm the Assistant at the towns GameStop and that's what my boss made it sound like.

I'll have my Wii/Zelda combo in hands around 10 PM on the 18th....won't be able to buy it until Midnight, the morning of the 19th....but still.

I'll be in line at midnight picking up mine, assuming Gamestop does the midnight thing.

They really should be, ask your GameStop manager about it. Tell him/her you heard other Stop's in the US were doing it.

I'll be going to a Wal-Mart in the middle of nowhere to get mine. Noone's around there at 12:00 at night

Nintendo doing whatever it takes to ship the 4 million Wiis by end of 2006

Why? Because Nintendo is pulling out all the stops and is ensuring that there will be a steady supply of their next console — unlike some folks at Sony. In a press release this morning, big N assured the masses that everything’s gonna be alright.

Nintendo is mobilizing the largest worldwide video game console launch in at least a decade, with approximately 4 million Wii systems available globally during the six weeks between Wii’s Nov. 19 launch in the Americas and the end of 2006. Although the largest share of that worldwide allotment will go to the Americas, Nintendo expects supply will be outpaced by demand, based on retailer orders, intense consumer requests and placement on numerous “gotta have it” holiday lists.

Priced at $250+, if you want a Wii, I see no reason why you won’t be able to just stroll into your local Wal-Mart or other generic store and pick one up. So, no need for Nintendo fans to break out the camping gear.

Unless you want to play one on Sunday. I have a pay day on November 30 so I'm thinking I'll pick up the Wii then. One month.:csad: :woot:

GRR! 16 days left! The revolution can't come soon enough!

I still don't think they should have changed the name from "Revolution". Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with "Wii", but the former is perfect for the system.
