Looks pretty, especially that last pic.
lol that stupid bird on his head. Why is it's mouth open in one pic and closed in others?
They cake Depp with makeup to hide his age. They have been doing it for a while now. He looks much younger with the make up. I have no problem with it as long as he brings the acting. Is Mr. (I'm a real Indian) Depp wearing a freakin fake nose?
Is this why they caked him in that phony white paint, to cover how fake it is?

Anyway, allot of those frontier landscape shots look spectacular.
I think that and the powerful origin story (if they stick somewhat to it) are going to carry this movie for me.
The outrageous Depp stuff just comes off as a desperate act for attention, which they will get on ma$$$$.
No ****. I thought it was stuffed lol. Guess that explains it. Though in a way that's even dumber.
Well yeah, Gore Verbinski is directing it. I mean look at Rango, that was an amazing looking movie. Verbinski isn't a hack, but still . . . a $250 million Lone Ranger movie.
In any other flick that train would be CG, but I assume they built or modified an actual train for this.
Well I really like how the Pirates movies were shot. Even Dead Man's Chest has some neat ideas in it, but I find them extremely well shot, made. I think Verbinski is a very talented director, he just picks odd projects to me.
I think Pirates 4 was the clumsiest of them all though and I don't think Rob Marshall understands action, pacing, or emotional beats very well.
I can tell that making Pirates 3 was pretty much a nightmare for him, so after that I don't really understand why he would want to do something like this. I mean if you love westerns, make a back to basics, hard guerilla western. No matter what Hollywood says, westerns can still be hits. Look at Kevin Costner, after a disaster like the Post Man, he comes back and does a low budget western like Open Range and it did really well. That came out in 2003. So I mean, it's doable.
