The Look of the Turtles

The Turtles looked best in the first film.

In the SOTO they made there eyes bigger and softened there features to much.

I might catch flack for this, but that bad arse pic of Raph, I would like it as a teaser poster with the tag line to be I lost a sai again and with the new TMNT movie logo on the poster. Well that Raph pic I am talking about should be used with the omission of one sai. I would like something like that.

I'm not particulary fond of the design of the upcoming game but I think this particulary shot of Raph is really cool so I made a quick manip.

Im assuming for the mo cap and the camera that they have attached to their heads they will incorporate some facial expressions from the actors.

Yeah. You can see the tracking dots all over their faces. I know in the closeup I saw of Alan Ritchson, they're more visible than any other actor on set.

I dont like the huge forearm design at all. Or the clunky lower legs

Why cant they just be humanoid and not warped looking :/

Lol I'm the opposite way, I love the enlarged forearms and calfs. Couldn't tell you why but I think it adds to them in some way.

They're still turtles, so while humanoid those turtle-like attributes are exaggerated, like the somewhat stubby limbs.

Just reminds me of Poppey or they got all that forearm muscle from beating off to
april... (Shudders)

I think Raph hit that in turtles one.

LOL, check out " Rapheal is Gangsta " on youtube, where Rapheal's voice is dubbed with Ice Cube in the first turtle movie, and he says " I gots to get a piece of that " when he first brings April to the Lair.

Why do I get the feeling Raph is going to get most of the focus in this movie opposite the other turtles? I felt that way once Ritchson was cast as Raph before anyone else was casted. And with the latest set vid revealing the three other turtles are captured at one point, it looks like it'll be up to Raph to save the day.

Not that I'm complaining; he is my favorite turtle and one of the more complicated ones personality-wise. But hopefully he doesn't overshadow the others completely.

He might be the Wolverine of the film

By the way, I must be the only one who liked the Rob Paulson version of Raph from the old 80's cartoon. He was the Matthew Perry of the group, with a dash of 'Deadpool's 4th wall breaking.

That's sort of the way the original film played it(the sequel too).
Maybe this time we'll get one film for each turtle.

He's the breakout turtle. Basically the anti-hero badass that has always been a popular member of most teams. Unfortunately a lot of times Donnie and Mikey get pushed to the side when it focuses on him and Leo being angsty.

Yeah but Mikey was always the most popular turtle in the cartoons, especially the Fred Wolf toon. Everybody loved the Spicolli turtle with the nunchuks and pizza addiction.

I loved 80's Ralph. He and Donatello are my favorites from the cartoon. You know, it's funny, but growing up, Michelangelo was my favorite across all the versions. Now, I find the other three to be so much more compelling characters. Mikey's still my official favorite, but I prefer to be fed stories that follow the others.
