to be on the safe side, i just backed up my computer to an external hard drive. i'm also currently charging up some power banks. i'm skeptical because of all the close calls we've had over the years

they've already cancelled schools and there's mandatory evacuations for Zone A residers. I'm in Zone B.

i dont even know where the thing is supposed to hit... last night they said it could hit south carolina dead on, which I am north east georgia... or it could turn north some and hit virginia

All the way over here in Kentucky we've already had close to 4 inches the last few days....and more is set to come. Luckily we aren't getting the winds here that the coast will be getting.

there are 2 more hurricanes out in the atlantic too... both look like they are heading here but too far away to tell for now. one is just a cat 1 but the one behind it is already a cat 3.

This is the issue with global warming. No one can say that climate change is causing more hurricanes definitively but there is no denying that a warmer planet makes for more powerful and destructive hurricanes. Look at the last ten years of hurricane season and tell me there's not something happening with the impact of these storms?

I'll tell you what... This weather is making NYC a cinematographer's dream tonight. Took a car into the city tonight to get to the job and coming over the Manhattan bridge and it was like a scene out of Blade Runner. Just beautifully atmospheric.
