One would think but it's a pretty accurate descriptor for life. If I think I have a problem I have to make a choice every day. The world doesn't stop doing what it wants to do just to protect me and my problems.

Well, I understand what you mean and it is probably easier for you being nearly 2.5 years sober... but for someone coming in for their newcomer chip... it seems like they are helping make it tougher than it should be. It's like taking a sex addict to a strip club... sure he doesn't have to pay for anything or even talk to the strippers, but he still sees it.

Such is life amigo, whether you're on day one or one million booze is everywhere. I heard about an AA clubhouse in GA that is literally the 2nd floor of a big liquor store. You can either choose to stroll on in and buy a bottle or you can choose to go upstairs for the meeting. I don't knock anyone that can drink/party while remaining a productive member of society. If I was capable of doing it I would haha.

Well they certainly aren't all next to them (or on top of them). But generally speaking booze is never too far away whether it be in the same plaza or across the street. Americans love the sauce.
