The Machine won't let the Wrestling Thread Win

In all fairness, Russo couldn't rock a pencil skirt like Dixie can. Close, but not the same.

So is Bobby Roode using the Attitude Adjustment as a finisher now?

I've tried several times to watch impact over the past few weeks. Not that what I've caught has been bad, but it has just failed to hook me. Same with ROH.

TNA feels so much like WCW in 2000 right now.

Between the depleted roster, poor booking, Dixie becoming the new on-air Russo and financial issues it isa sad state of affairs.

Hulkamania, brother. It ran wild.

I'm sorry I can't buy Spud guy and Dixie's nephew--whatever their names are--beating down Gunner. They're small in stature and don't strike me as being tough. Gunner should've shrugged them off.

Numbers and EC3 has the size at least.

It's too bad Styles and TNA could not come to an agreement because that promo and final segment was gold!

Styles and Magnus hit it out of the park. Even Dixie played her part well despite to my dislike for her

So the Royal Rumble is coming fairly soon, and there are always a few interesting match ups that take place within it. What are a few you'd like to see?

I'd like to see Big E and Reigns for a few minutes after they each clear half the ring, Cesaro against Big Show etc. And, of course I want the ever present Kofi Kingston amazing feat of athleticism before getting tossed. I wonder what he'll do this year?

I wish AJ was sticking around. He's far more valuable to TNA than they understand. It feels like TNA has lost it's heart.

I'd like to see all 3 members of the Shield face off or Reigns go on a elimination tear, like 7 or 8 people and make it close to the final 4.

I think Kurt Angle is pretty much a definite to return when his contract expires with TNA. He's been mentioning and hinting for years that he wanted to go back to the WWE and I definitely believe that WWE will give him a light schedule. If they let RVD, Batista, and Lesnar back, but they'd definitely love to have Angle back with a last WWE run.

And if Smackdown ends up on Spike TV then that's the last nail in coffin for TNA.

When is RVD coming back?,I mean besides probably as a Rumble entrant is there any plans to bring him back for a short feud after Mania or something?

Yep, pretty much.

The only s***ty thing that the whole TNA deal is that alot of hard working people will be losing their jobs. That's never a good thing to see.

No more Krispen Wah?

Why'd they have to job him out like that? He was just getting over. Another case of the 'E burying a star made by the internet.

I see what you did there.

The gimmick would have to be that it's actually Daniel Bryan or CM Punk in a Hulk Hogan costume.

:lmao:

We noted before that WWE had been planning to do Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. That was discussed back when Show was feuding with The Authority. The plan was for Show to be on top and go through Randy Orton and Triple H, but not win the title, but come out of the program as a strong main eventer. The idea was to make Show strong for Lesnar at the Rumble so Lesnar would look stronger for The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX.
That worked out well.........

- Regarding Lesnar vs. Undertaker, there had been some concern because Lesnar works such a physical style and Taker is in really rough shape physically. This is why there was some talk of Sheamus facing Taker.
Slushy and Lobo just popped! :D

Another issue with Lesnar facing Taker is that a lot of Taker’s opponents, if not all, over the past several years have secretly worked out their match with him and practiced it. There was some concern over whether or not Lesnar would be willing to put in that much time preparing.
Interesting, you can definitely tell the match between Taker and Triple H at Mania 27 was heavily planned out.

- It’s said that The Undertaker asked to work with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX. No word yet if it was discussed internally or anything.
I wonder if this factors into the Wyatt angle.

- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards won’t be back at the next set of WWE NXT tapings and they aren’t going to be offered a contract.

Apparently Triple H didn’t want t sign them after their tryout because of their size. The feeling is they are loaded with guys who aren’t big that can go so the mentality coming out of these tryout camps is that WWE is looking for guys who can headline WrestleMania in five or ten years.

A lot of people went to bat for Richards and Edwards with the feeling they should get a deal and several people pushed for them to go straight to the main roster. It’s said Triple H made the decision not to sign them after the NXT tapings where they lost to The Ascension.

- WWE now has their developmental talents doing classes and seminars, treating it like it’s almost similar going to college. The idea is that they are trying to teach talents to not screw up like most people from the past had done and have skills for a post-wrestling.

They are going to have talent classes in marketing themselves, programs in teaching how to manage finances, college tuition reimbursement programs, media training and language courses.

WWE has formed a partnership with Money Management International to help the talents with their financial planning for the future. They will have classes that teach budgeting, debt control, help with choosing a tax professional, as well as helping them choose people to be financial planners and to help them with taxes.

They are also working with Kevin Sullivan Communications (not the WCW Kevin Sullivan) to teach talent media training, like how to avoid bad press on Twitter. Sullivan is the former White House Communications Director under George W. Bush

Developmental talents will also be given seminars in injury prevention and how to live a healthy lifestyle.

This is a very good idea on WWE's part.
