It's cool and all but I don't like the baggy pants or painted on star. It just doesn't Say captain america to me it looks like he's trying to hard to be badass it's reminds me of that crappy phantom syfy remake

for the new movie, probably not, but i still like it as a redesign.

no reason why he has to have tights. seems more appropriate to wear what SWAT members would wear. I agree with the painted on star. I think it would be a lot better with an actual one.

Contrary to popular convention Cap's shield does not contain Adamantium
as explained here

maybe I can light a fire in this thread with a challenge: I had an idea for Marvel 1876. our civil war has ended, and two of it's great heroes, Captain Steven "America" Rodgers and Lucas Cage. they now travel the world to explore the world their nation is going to be a part of. In africa they discover Cage's parents' homeland, Wakanda, however Cage chooses America and stays with Rodgers. From there they travel to japan (They did hear rumors of a civilization of super-people in the himilayas, the local name translated to "Inhumans") where things are really getting active, including The Wasp, Spider-Man, and Spider-Woman, and Doctor Strange, all as native born japanese having survived the meji era. Then the Fantastic, an air vehicle designed by british engineer Reed Richards, and containing his family passes through an odd Aurora in Greenwich and lands just outside of Yokohama, the passengers all changed.

Negative it was erroneously stated in a few of the Marvel handbooks that it contained both, but Adamantium was not created/discovered till after the shield was already in play.

T'Jai- Could Cap's shield stop a half electrified Al Kilya from bonking him with a metal pipe on his way out to the gift shop? That's the real test.
