The Marvel Implosion

I'll never understand why the Agents never caught on.

Because The Flaming C is a better known superhero property than they are?

One could say that about most comic book characters though.

Okay.

Howard the Duck is more well known than Agents of Atlas.

Talking primates automatically makes me like comics.

Having just looked up Agents of Atlas, I really wish I had read it. Looks awesome.

Funny, yet sad at the same time.

There's been a lot of talking gorillas in Marvel lately. There's Gorilla Man from Agents of Atlas, the one from recent issues of Wolverine and another upcoming in Winter Soldier (which could be possibly the same one from Wolverine).

The talking gorilla in the recent issues of Wolverine is the same talking Gorilla from Agents of Atlas.

Anyone who dislikes Agents of Atlas and/or the awesomness that is Kenny Hale and Jimmy Woo is an utter philistine and fails at life.

I'd put it in the top 10 comic series of this century, comfortably.

See, DC would embrace a book like that. I mean, how long did Shadowpact run for? 30 odd issues? That was kinda similar. A rag tag bunch of nobodies, including a talking ape. Marvel almost seem ashamed of their obscure characters. You'll never, ever, ever see them give a series to characters like Swamp Thing or Animal Man.

No s**t?:wow: He's cool. I thought he would end up in WATXM after that issue but nothing so far.

I guess it's safe to assume that he's the same gorilla in Winter Soldier. Odd that they didn't list him in the solicits by his actual name.

Shadowpact lasted for 25 issues plus they were the core focus of Day of Vengeance and Reign in Hell

Well there you go. Would Marvel give that much focus to a bunch of obscure nobodies? Not a chance in hell. Not these days anyway.

Odd, given that Gorilla Man and Bucky should ostensibly be on the same side. But then again, Gorilla Man was around for a lot of the Cold War, so maybe the Winter Soldier crossed him at some point.

I'm legitimately upset that he's not in a current ongoing.

He belongs continuously active in the DCU.

Actually, given that Winter Soldier is usually tied with Soviet era Marvel stuff, I am assuming the gorilla he is battling in April's issue could be involved with the Beasts Of Berlin. But I could be wrong.
