Not Ock. He was killed, not retired. But it happened around the same time. Captain Marvel also died, & was never revamped. That was his son.
By different motif, I mean name, costume & powers are all completely different.

He retired, Silvermaine created Scorpia, he came back w/a new look, was revamped by John Byrne, & now he's Venom.
