I think if we did, it would have at least taken some time. We'd probably have had multiple Spider-Man or X-Men films well before we got Avengers, I'm sure. In the same way that Warner Bros. tends to prioritize Batman and Superman, Marvel and Disney/Paramount probably would have gone with at least guaranteed box office winners in characters that the general audience knew about, rather than taking a risk on Iron Man or Thor.If they had the rights from the beginning we wouldn't have the Avengers.
Just don't watch Armor Wars then, the idea it shouldn't exist because you aren't interested in it is incredibly self centered.I hope Armor Wars get the chop. I just don't see the point of a War Machine movie this late in the MCU and War Machine in the movies isn't even interesting.
Blade, like I said many times, they could save him several years from now, especially when most of the Infinity Saga characters are already in their way out or already done. But right now, its been delayed too many times. Time to take a break and shelve it for now.
Avengers, Fantastic 4, X-Men - these are bigger things that need more attention.
^ThisIs kind of amazing that they can make a whole show about AGATHA HARKNESS (?) but War Machine and Blade are having trouble getting made.
2010's Marvel Studios wouldn't have let this happen.
Eh. I've seen every MCU film in theaters starting from 2008.Just don't watch Armor Wars then, the idea it shouldn't exist because you aren't interested in it is incredibly self centered.
Agatha All Along is a sequel to the highly successful Disney Plus series, Wandavision. Is kind of amazing that they can make a whole show about AGATHA HARKNESS (?) but War Machine and Blade are having trouble getting made.

Sounds like they didn't think that they had a strong enough storyline to justify multiple episodes let alone, a film.Blade is a movie and I can see why it is taking longer. Developing a movie if I'm not mistaken, usually take a longer time than a Tv series especially with these blockbuster franchises. Agatha was also introduced via WandaVision, so its like not they rebooted the character for this show.
While Armor Wars was changed to a movie, for whatever reason. If they kept it a series, it probably would have progressed more by now.
Probably to mixed results though. They changed it cause they realized the concept would be better served for a movie (probably budget wise) and this could possibly be the earliest example of them realizing the shows can't just be a movie cut up in 6 episodes. While Armor Wars was changed to a movie, for whatever reason. If they kept it a series, it probably would have progressed more by now.
You quite literally said the movie shouldn't exist because you personally aren't interested in it.Eh. I've seen every MCU film in theaters starting from 2008.
I am invested into the MCU for a long time, and I want to see MCU films that I'm interested to watch and films that Imo will benefit the franchise in the long run. Armor Wars is none of those two things.
You telling me, just don't want watch a film, that doesn't interest me from a franchise I follow for more than ten years and that I'm being self centered, is like telling people who criticizes bad movies (based on ips they liked) for existing, to just shut their eyes and mouth because the movie isn't about them.... Enjoy Armor Wars if it ever happens.
I can have my own preference of what movies and projects I want to see, without you telling I am being self centered. You quite literally said the movie shouldn't exist because you personally aren't interested in it.
That is 100% being self centered, you can't find someway to justify that or twist words because that's exactly what you said, it's what you're still saying now, only you're trying to act smug and superior about it.
I don't care about what you wanna watch or not, saying a movie should be canceled because you have no interest in it is the very definition of being self centered.I can have my own preference of what movies and projects I want to see, without you telling I am being self centered.
What a silly argument. If someone said they don't want to see 1,000 MCU films, you would call them out for being self centered. You don't need to make this about me. We are in a forum about movies.
Is kind of amazing that they can make a whole show about AGATHA HARKNESS (?) but War Machine and Blade are having trouble getting made.

Not really. I see them as different shows with different set of characters that may get a second season if it does well. If we've had 7 movies from another franchise under 2years, it is going to be overwhelming to me as well, and movies are much easier to digest (finish) because its over in more or less 150 minutes.
While these MCU shows aren't very long in episode count/runtime, the shows are still much longer than a single Mcu movie. We've had 9 live-action shows since 2021, and 1 of it got a second season. That's too much content in a short period of time. Also a lot of the characters (She Hulk, Moon Knight) introduced in the shows aren't also appearing quickly for a next appearance, so I'm just finding them a bit redundant in the grand scheme of things. Then there's the two Special Presentations so those add up too. I skipped What If season 2 as a result of too much streaming content.
Sometimes less is more.
Armor Wars (which is a former show) now a movie, also applies to what I just said.I can't pretend that its an anthology though. Even if I act its an anthology, thats still two seasons minimum per year, and I have other non Marvel shows to keep up to.
Also if the quality of these shows are top notch with riveting story then I might feel different about them, but as a collection of shows, they aren't just very good. They also directly affect the quality of the MCU movies, which for me, is the biggest red flag.
The MCU would be in a better state without these shows.
Production wise, Agatha does look like a serialized show for ABC in 2024, if ABC the network is still doing those fantasy/Marvel shows like they used to before (Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, Inhumans, Once Upon a Time) in the previous decade.I have to assume that those are bigger budgets thus bigger risk. Agatha looks like it was made for $2 lol
I'd argue revenue for a Blade or a War Machine movie would be bigger than this Agatha show.I have to assume that those are bigger budgets thus bigger risk. Agatha looks like it was made for $2 lol
You're not saying anything here nor are you making any sort of real point.I don't care about Dc shows (I haven't seen one fyi) and they don't affect Marvel movies. So you won't see me stating the Penguin shouldn't exist. I don't have strong thoughts for the next Batman movie either...
I'm gonna quote what I said in the Wonder Man thread:
Marvel Television - Marvel Studios' Wonder Man
Marvel Television - Marvel Television's Wonder Man
Oh boy. They really need to dial back at this point especially after what happened to The Marvels. "Marvel Spotlight" is still Marvel but only sounds less appealing.forums.superherohype.com
Armor Wars (which is a former show) now a movie, also applies to what I just said.
To end this here, so what if I am being self centered? Who cares if I'm not jumping up and down for a Mcu project that probably doesn't have a lot of chance to be successful in the first place. The fact that Armor Wars was announced many years ago, and flash forward to 2024, we now have articles stating "Marvel Studios will decide its fate soon" should tell you this is not a well conceived project in the first place.
It doesn't really.I have to assume that those are bigger budgets thus bigger risk. Agatha looks like it was made for $2 lol
I'd argue revenue for a Blade or a War Machine movie would be bigger than this Agatha show.
The only way a Blade movie with Ali could be considered "big risk" is because of all the delays they caused themselves. It should not be THAT difficult, specially considering all the resources they have.
I'm sorry I just don't understand the logic behind some of these shows.
Its not just you.Kevin Feige understood that the Disney+ shows damaged the brand. He has acknowledged this in recent interviews. He didn't talk about quality but he did talk about quantity.
And, this is probably a me thing, but even if the Avengers with RDJ and Chris Evans assembled on Disney+, for me it would still be a cheap show. There's something inherently 'lesser' about not being on the big screen, no matter how much money they throw at it.
