it is likely going to be like tom someone who done a few films or theater work and so forth. But we dont really know what marvel and sony going to do to we actually start hearing of folks testing. Will they go with a lesser known gal or someone better known like moretz, or others in the 17-22 range.

I've read the sony emails and apparently Lily Collins and Moretz were mentioned back in tasm2 but they are so generic. We need a new fresh start we a new actress imo.

She would definitely work imo. She played a 16 yo in Me earl and the dying girl and in Bates motel. Plus MJ, is supposed to look a bit older than Peter.

I hope Marvel/Sony are going to privilege an actress with good acting abilities rather than good look. I don't mind if the actress they picked isn't super hot. All I want is this "party girl" energy from the actress,something Dunst and Woodley didn't have imo.

I don't kow if you notice, but Marvel has this habit of picking big budget actresses (Portman, Johansson, Paltrow) for their female lead wheareas when it's a dude they don't mind if he isn't that famous (Hemsworth,even Evans, Sebastian Stan, etc). And I really can't think of an actress under 22, who has at least one big budget movie behind her, who will fit the part. This is scary. From the email leaks, Sony was interested by Lily collins and Moretz because they had a "big following" and gosh, both of them don't fit the role at all imo.

I still cant wait to see what known/semi known folks will end up testing or be offered mj,gwen,liz, sally and other female roles. Cause its fun to speculate names but we really dont know who marvel/sony wants to go with let alone the character directions for any of the roles we probably will see.

But I think Anya could be great addition to the cast either as Mary Jane or Gwen. Just saw The Witch and she did great. Plus hasn't done lot of movies which is perfect for Marvel.

i did bring up point the other week even if they where to look at or ask mortez for any role in solo 1 be it mj, gwen, liz, sally she likely wouldnt have time to do it. As she has that littler mermaid movie filming some time this summer for universal plus i have no clue where its due to film. But i wouldnt be surprised if someone like her is picked for mj, gwen, liz, sally. Heck even if she wasnt in or tested for a role for solo one. Maybe she could be brought in for someone else down the road like debra, or even felica for all we know.

I don't know about that...would she really be right for Black Cat? She doesn't exactly scream "Felicia Hardy" to me. Maybe Debra....
