the massive plothole thread

In Superman II: The Donner Cut at the end when Superman has turned back time and the Phantom Zone villians go back to their prison how is the scene with the bully at the diner supposed to fit in?

Superman is the only one who remembers the alternate timeline...and he remembers the jerk needs a lesson...so he teaches him one.

Thank you!

:cwink: not a problem, but wait there's more

Why did the decepticons weapons primarily consist of bullets when the autobots had energy weapons?

If Optimus knew how Megatron got to Earth, why didnt he jus go there and kill him in the first place?

No one else in Sam's neighborhood noticed robots walking around?

Frenzy is able to turn into a CD player and a cell phone once he's been decapitated? (not really a plothole.....jus stupid)

Megatron kicks off Optimus' mouth shield, later on in the film he has it back

If they speak Cybertronian on their own planet and learn english through the internet, how was The Fallen able to speak english from jump?

I think the bigger question is why didn't they use the shard to revive Optimus if the Decepticons used the other shard piece to revive Megatron.
That is such an awful plothole, but could have easily been explained in the movie with actual info from Transformers stories.

They could have just said that Megatron wasn't dead, but was in Stasis Lock, essentially a coma for Transformers, and that the all spark shard gave the energy needed to essentially reboote/woke him up.

After all, that is what they did to Jetfire. He was basically in Stasis Lock/Coma, and the allspark fragment basically woke him up.

That would explain why it didn't work on Optimus, as he was DEAD, not in Stasis Lock.

Either way, even if they fixed that, thered still be a hundred other stupid things to fix in that movie

If you want to take the scene that way sure but technically it feels out of place because the bully remarks "Come and get it, foureyes".

And Clark mentioning that's his favorite seat and the other truckers stepping aside knowing there's a beatdown coming about.

You know what a massive plothole is? The plot to Alone in the Dark. Now I like this silly b movie for it's mindless entertainment factor....but still, if that scirpt was good, people would like it a lot more. Even with Boll directing.

Doesn't one of the people at the Diner mention something about just fixing the place or something like that? I may be thinking about a different movie.

Nope you're right, the theatrical version of Superman 2 didn't have the turning back the world epilogue so the diner scene in that version made sense.

But when doing Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut the editor Michael Thau probably thought why not include every footage that Donner shot just to please fans without thinking how complicated it would turn out so that diner scene at the end of this version doesn't make sense because Superman DID turn back and rotate the Earth in this one.

....I think my head just exploded.

I actualy have argued that even thought time was turned back that the people still remembered everything. I can't remember how I use to word it but that's pretty close.
