'The Matrix' Reboot

Doesn't change the fact it considered a sci-fi classic though. Every movie in existence has it's critics.

If we're talking about Revolutions then I have your back,.

overstylized garbage I had seen before, but of course, most hadn't, so it was new for them

I watched many movies in my life, and I rewatched Matrix not too long ago. It's still one of greatest sci fi movies ever. Everything holds up. It's a classic.

as long as it erases the first three dreadful films out of existence and maybe makes something interesting with the premise for a change, hmm, why not?

Why have an ounce of interest in this if you hated the first one in the first place?

The Matrix '99 is pure brilliance. Perhaps my most favorite sci-fi/cyberpunk film. Comparable only to Blade Runner. Maybe Robocop and the first Terminator.

I'll allow that the sequels are trash, but the first Matrix film is absolutely amazing. There's no doubt there.

Not interested in another reboot. I liked the first movie though and the sequel was a solid popcorn flick.

I'd rather see a sequel than a reboot. Keanu said he'd do it if the Wachowski's are on board. I don't think the writer they mentioned instills a lot of confidence that this would be a worthwhile reboot, but the siblings haven't had another home run either, so who knows?

Definitely would be up for a sequel, lots of thing were left open ended at the conclusion of Revolutions.

The only good thing about this for me - maybe WB will remaster the original for UHD. Similar to what they're doing with Harry Potter films right now.

The first didn't even qualify as a decent movie to you?

 :down

I wouldn't say that. Sure the ending could lead to a continuing story, but I don't know if I'd consider those elements necessarily "open". The trilogy left a fairly cemented conclusion.

They should just take a page from the Animatrix and go for a new cast and setting within this universe. It's big enough. The only limits are your creativity.

I understand when someone dislikes a great film because it just didn't connect for whatever reason, but saying it's a crappy film... You lost me there, bro.

The peace Neo died and fought for was questioned by The Architect and was certainly not given a definitive answer. "As long as it can" leaves thing plenty open in my eyes.

Also it was suggested Neo wasn't 100% dead as well. Then there is Sati, Seraph and others left. There are plenty of avenues a sequel could explore.

Would Will Smith pass up the role of Neo this time?

Personally its too soon to talk reboot to me

Michael B. Jordan?

So this is it now? In fear for racism every character in movies and games now should be black.

Black Neo, next will be black Superman, black Batman...and of course in few years a Pirates of the Caribbean remake with black Jack Sparrow.

But seriously back on topic: I never liked the Matrix so I really don't care for this one. Do whatever you want Warner...your funeral.
