Obviously, this is a thread for people who have already seen the film. So those not wanting to be spoiled should thread carefuly.

Anyway, in that final scene [BLACKOUT]we're shown kids being inspired by legends of Luke and the Rebels. One of them is later revealed to be a force user. Considering how Rey ended up
not being from a force sensitive family
could this mean the Force is on the rise in the galaxy?[/BLACKOUT]

In theory, [BLACKOUT]no other force user should be as powerful as the Skywalker lineage due to Chosen One blood, but now it seems even someone like Rey can stand against the likes of Kylo Ren. Anyone thinks this will ever be addressed? Could this mark a new golden era for force users and the galaxy or was that scene only supposed to show the rise of the new rebelion?[/BLACKOUT]

Considering J. J. Abrams's background of repeating old concepts, i kind of fear this will not lead anywhere particularly interesting, but since Episode IX will be the finale of the main saga for now, it should honestly give a kind of closure Episode VI didn't give already.

Those scenes make sense if this was episode 9.

It's less an important part of the story, more symbolic. That last scene is just saying that there will always be a new generation to pick up a sword and have adventures and fight tyranny. There's always a new hope.

It didn't fit in with Star Wars. It was more like something from a Disneyland advert.
