Actually, another Michael Bay shot happened to be my avvy.
I think there are some who pointed that out on here.

At Bobby Bolivia's car lot when all the cars windows explode the camera also pans around Bernie Mac.

Um, the BAY SHOT is your freakin' avatar man.

edit: I see that has already been addressed.

there was also a pan around the cars in a the convoy near the final battle, if i'm not mistaken.

Yeah the Bay shot is Primes last transformation as he arrives to the final battle.

I really couldnk't help but think "why isn't htis moron moving...." but then I realized it was an intertexutal reference to Bay's other movies. Not being a fan of his I'm neutral about it.

You know, actually, there were ALOT of Michael Bay shots.
There wasn't just one.

:csad:

Not unusual for his films. But the quintessential "Bay Shot" is your avatar.

Really? I've seen Godzilla do that same thing a hundred times. ... Except usually the camera zooms out real fast to show the entire landscape rather than abruptly switch to a totally different scene.

I'm not suggesting it's something unique to bay, rather that that shot is what he uses to showcase his hero in a prominent moment.

Quintessential doesn't necessarily mean original ;)

You know... speaking of which. Did I miss any scenes that showed the entire landscape of the bots fighting in the city? It would have helped to put things into perspective-- like their giant sizes and the catastrophe developing in the city.

I don't think so. I don't recall many wide shots, other than when SS was on top of the one building watching Megs walk over to Sam on the other rooftop.

The slow motion scenes didn't bother me at all.Bay used alot of great shots especially during the city scene.

I liked it,but i did not know about it until reading this thread. Then i remembered.

lol, I didn't see it... when I go back to watch it, I'll look for it

when 'Hide and Ratchet were flanking Sam, then Screamer lands, sam runs the other way, and the autobots are firing as Sam gets away.
those were wide. also when Ironhide and Bumblebee made the barricade with the truck.

speaking of which, i love how 'Hide reallized it was Screamer. "its Starscreeeeeam!"
