I'd love to see Thiago fight Houston because I think Thiago's fighting style is not only going to be very effective but also very exciting. I think by this time next year he's going to be alot of people's favorite fighters. I think he'd destroy Rashad and it'd really build him up. I don't think Nog will be fighting on such short notice and last I heard Arlovski is going to be fighting Rothwell on May 17th for Affliction. UFC is really in a bind right now. I just read on Sherdog though that Franklin and Bisping might fight at 85 which would be a great replacement.

I rent every PPV fight and watch all the title fights, I watch The Ultimate Fighter, I watch HBO Boxing(Titles only), and I dont like those guys from TapouT.

Does anyone think the Iceman seems to be getting worse. His style is Unorthodox(Brawler or Head Hunter). He doesn't get one punch knockouts anymore. I guess the fighters have adapted to his fighting style.

HA! I'll be rooting for Couture, 100% all the way. He has a chance, and he'll be the underdog, but Couture always finds a way.

Don't get me wrong, Fedor is a beast, hell, I don't even think he's human, but I see Couture getting him.

Should this thread be merged with the UFC thread? It's pretty much the same sport, but with multiple companies.

After what he did to Sylvia, one of the world's top heavyweights, Fedor definitely cemented his spot as the best HW in MMA.
I'd still put Anderson Silva above him as far as Pound for Pound goes, but only Silva. And only just barely.

If not Randy, I'd love to see Fedor take on AA for his next bout.

All in all, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Affliction show. Definitely had some damn entertaining fights from top to bottom. Only one that half-way sucked was Lindland's return.
But I'd put that down as ring rust what with him being out of the game for a year.

Oh my god, is all I got to say about the fedor, sylvia fight. As for him against AA what would be the point?

The same point it'd be to have Fedor take on Barnett, or Couture. AA is a top Heavyweight fighter and deserves a shot at the WAMMA belt as much as Barnett does.
If Randy can get out of his UFC contract, he should definitely get first crack at challenging the champ. But, if not, I say give it to Arlovski.

Eh, I think Arlovski would last longer than Sylvia thanks to his quickness. But I definitely agree that I don't see him beating Fedor.
As for how long the next Fedor fight lasts, no matter who it's against, who knows? You never know with that bastard. Sometimes he'll seem to feel sorry for his opponents and let up a bit.
Other times, like with Sylvia, he goes balls to the wall from the get-go and puts them down with the quickness.

BTW Fedor just announced he will be fighting for Dream on NYE.

In Dream's middleweight torunament semifinals the results are:

Jacare defeated Zelg Galesic with an armbar in the 1 round

Moussasi defeated Manhoef with a triangle also in the 1 round

So in the final right after Mirko's fight,Jacare and Mousassi will fight for the belt...i'll post the outcome later.

I think that's crap. Don't get me wrong, I am not taking anything away from Fedor. But Silva fights anyone, anyone. He beats someone then takes on the next best opponent.

Fedor takes tough fights, but it doesn't seem like he is always taking the toughest fights and the best opponents with each fight.

Silva does every time.
