The Most Poorly Titled Movies of All Time

^Yes it is :ninja:

Antz was pretty awesome and it is Dreamworks animation's best film to date. Very charming, funny...and (yes Im going to say it) "cute".

And why do people the Dumb and Dumberer was a bad title...don't get me wrong, the movie was atrocious but that title was pretty funny to me....it certainly beats Dumb & Dumber 2. :o

The Score.

One of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen; the only thing that makes it worth watching is Edward Norton's performance. But even people who liked the movie said the title was really weak.

Another typical convention I have to throw out here... does it bug anyone else when they producers or the writers just lazily use the name of a character for a movie (or a phrase that features a character's name) that reveals little to nothing about the film itself? I've always found this pretty lame. Examples:

Meet Bill
Ed
Jack
Henry Poole is Here
What About Bob?
Jerry Maguire

Over the Hedge.

It should of been called "Bruce Willis will blow **** up as a raccoon."

Anyone know the title to that movie where the lady is being stalked in a bloody parking lot? P12 or something...

ALSO:

Zenon: The Zequel
You Got Served
Snakes on a Plane
Plan 9 fro Outer Space
Jaws: The Revenge
ALL of the DB/Z Japanese titles:

"Return My Gohan!!"
"The World's Strongest Guy"
"Super Deciding Battle for the Entire Planet Earth"
"Super Saiya-jin Son Gokū"
"The Incredible Mightiest vs. Mightiest"
"Clash!! 10 Billion Power Warriors"
"Burn Up!! A Close, Intense, Super-Fierce Battle"
"The Galaxy at the Brink!! The Super Incredible Guy"
"The Dangerous Duo! Super-Warriors Can't Rest"
"Super-Warrior Defeat!! I'm the One who'll Win"
"Dragon Fist Explosion!! If Goku Won't Do It, Who Will?"

P2. And the movie was terrible on top of having a goofy title. :o

Haha we never found out the first eight. :funny:

UHF
Shaq Steel
1. What's wrong with UHF? The movie was about running a UHF station.

2. The title was just Steel. They just put Shaq's name above it for the sake of star power.

The Legend of the Seeker - that's one of the worst I've come across lately. Actually, 'Superbad' is awful too.

omg..why is Superbad a bad title? I explained to someone else here on this very thread that it's suppose to be a reference to James Brown's song Superbad. Even then, it's not a bad title.

Those DBZ titles are so horrible I can’t believe they’re real.

Here are a few more, of the Le Bad Cinema genre…

Prince of Space

Catman in Lethal Track

Catman in Boxer Blow

The Brain that Wouldn’t Die/The Head that Wouldn’t Die – a film where they apparently couldn’t decide which stupid title to go with, so they just used both.

The Robot vs. The Aztec Army

Rocket Attack USA

Cave Dwellers - although I highly recommend this horrible film (MST3K version only)

This Island Earth

Time of the Apes

Master Ninja 1

American Kickboxer 1

Secret Agent Super Dragon

Eegah

The Wild Wild World of Batwoman

You're on drugs :o

So, I'm on drugs just for giving my opinion!:cmad::csad:

When you hear the name "The Lost Boys" you wouldn't have known that it would be a movie about vampires if you hadn't of watched it to know what was about. It could have always been given a different title that could have better represented what the movie was about.

Hahaha! Very true! It's quite bizarre that a movie with Norton, DeNiro and Brando is so very bland.

I know. Kind of depressing, really. It's really angering when you have the potential for a great movie but it still sucks.

I remember feeling like that about the movie Troy, to some extent. While not a bad film, it could have (and should have) be a GREAT, epic movie with a cast like Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Sean Bean, Brian Cox, Rose Byrne, Julie Christie and Brendan Gleeson... but it turned out to be simply "okay."

Hollywood should institute a new rule.

Everytime some squid-d!ck producer pitches a title with a colon ":" in it, everybody else has to stare at him blankly, and say "Really? Is that necessary?"

Then we'd have a lot less of the stupid, unnecessarily pretentious titles out there right now.

I love that the Aqua Teen Hunger Force crew made fun of that trend in their movie title.
