The music of the panther

They should bring Nujabes back from the dead for this.

Well that's why I said "Someone like".

I don't know if there's a name for the genre (or if it even is a genre) but the way he blended jazz and hip-hop with traditional Japanese music and instruments is the sort of sound I'd always imagined for Black Panther, just with the Japanese element obviously swapped out for a more African sound.

for sure this needs to have a hot "urban" soundtrack and an intense score; two separate CDs will do, even if released on Itunes.

It really seems like Bear McCreary being a genre guy and all would be up for a marvel film soon. His work with percussion is absolutely amazing and would fit very well here.

Hi Guys i'm new here and i was wondering if i wrote about a 30 second sample for a fan theme could you guys maybe give me some input cause i want to write a fan score that i know hardcore black panther fans will enjoy but for that i need your input so would you mind giving it a listen and tell me what you think? and what i should change to make it better?

I don't want it having to do with anything "urban" "rap" or "hip-hop." This is an isolated advanced AFRICAN country, urban/rap/hip-hop would be too much of a western influence.

Get RZA on this and get him to collaborate with an Afrobeat producer(s).

Why would this need a urban soundtrack? Black Panther should have a very African influenced soundtrack, inspired from the sounds from the nativeland. Luke Cage is someone who needs an urban soundtrack, not T'Challa.

I agree with no hip hop, jazz, rock, etc.

The music should sound distinctly sub saharan African yet catchy.

Either that or something with a John Williams orchestra theme but with South African vocals.

Maybe something like the Lion King?

In a grand tradition of Hollywood movies, have awesome and unique worldbeat music throughout the actual film, and then at the end have some generic bull**** generic rock song by Nickelback play over the closing credits. :o

It definitely needs to have a heavily African-influenced theme for the score.

I liked Alt-J's Left Hand Free in Cap Civil War.

Marvel has sucked as far as coming up with memorable themes. With BP they have a chance to create something truly special.

Definitely need some Fela Kuti featured in this or his son.

Maybe get Damon Albarn and his African Express buddies to score the film. Albarn has scored films before.
