The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

2012 are my GOATs. :weeping:

Update, looks like I misinterpreted a cover. 2012 is featured, going against the 2003 turtles. Their inking was just so reminiscent of Santalucco, I assumed they were the IDW turtles. But I see Donnie's tooth gap now.

I'm beginning to think Ms Sweeney isn't too bright.

Also, I saw someone try to paint her as being bigger than Zendaya, and lol.
They've been doing this since that romcom with Glen Powell. MAGA found their ideal woman in her... Blonde, blue eyed, with big breasts. Zendaya being a woman of color and perky breasts may have something to do with it. :o

Recently saw this on the local newsstand and thought, why not? I loved the Superman magazine so I decided to pick this one up too :yay:

As a pure piece of marketing, it does its job admirably. It's got all the flotsam and jetsam typical for these types of magazines: reprints of classic Fantastic Four stories that inspired the film, production details, and creator interviews where everyone involved claims that making the film was the best time they ever had doing anything ever! And of course, lots of incentives to subscribe to Marvel Unlimited...

I wasn't a Fantastic Four reader growing up so it was fun discovering some classic stories. I haven't dove into the reprints that thoroughly yet but I'll give them a closer look one of these evenings...

Speaking of Superman, I bought it the day it was released on digital as atonement for not catching it in theatres. I'll do the same when Fantastic Four is released in September. Anecdotally speaking, there's been very little interest among friends and co-workers to see any films theatrically this summer...

The roommate and I are planning to watch Superman sometime this week - can't wait!

The ideal movie for gen z males is a 45 minute podcast where they rank their favorite aura farming in games.
If the # 1 answer isn't DK's idle animation from Donkey Kong Country then I don't want it. :o

I'm fine with Gen 2 because there were some solid new ones in there but there are way too many Pokemon now. Over a thousand?!

At this point just pick and choose which ones you want to remember.

Drizzy you was right.

That Super Mario movie only had ONE job. Use one of the songs from Donkey Kong Country.

Its only real flaw. :sneeze:
Ditching the pop songs for the original game inspired score would have gone a long way. It wouldn't have fixed Pratt being all wrong for Mario but it would have bumped it up a notch.

What we could have had:

But instead they went with cliche-ass Take On Me.
