The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

I had that one for N64. It was the only video game my dad had the patience to play. :funny:

You were brought up right. My dad would play the Mortal Kombat games with me and bust my ass in them when I was younger.

That’s why I have a complex about winning now. :sneeze:

Hope you're holding up okay, breakups can be tough :csad: Bob really is tremendous, he became one of my favorite MCU characters immediately.

Thanks I'm doing okay. We would have been 6 years in a few weeks to that'll sting. But each day I'm getting better.

And I agree about Bob, had my eye on Lewis Pullman since Bad Times at the El Royale and he didn't disappoint here.

Couple pages late to the party but how dare you, sirs--

I know no one asked me, but I bought Superman 2025 on digital last night, watched it for the second time ever along with Peacemaker ep2, and I still say

Seriously, in lieu of the Justice Gang, I would've had more Lois and Clark scenes. Brosnahan and Corenswet really enjoyed each other's energy, would've been fun to see more of them together.

No comment on the cringefest that was Peacemaker episode 2 though. :o

And Happy Labor Day yall! This holiday is a bummer for me because it means cold weather is coming. :csad:

Outside of FF hitting digital, movies are done for me mostly. I cannot think of any I am stoked for in that way, though I am interested in watching a few oddball like Toxic Avenger and the new Deathstalker I only learned was coming yesterday. But those are not counting the days until I see them type movies. Then obviously Oscar season.

So my attention is now shifting to games. I got Hollow Knight Silksong coming this week! Then I am focusing on playing that for many hours (seriously, I am at 107% completion on Hollow Knight and spent nearly 60 hrs on that....and Silksong will probably be similar ). From there, the continued wait for whenever I get to know when Metroid Prime 4 is coming.

You're so much better than me, because I don't have the patience for video games anymore. Unless it's a fighting game that I can just pick up and go, or the latest mainline Pokemon game, I could give a damn about it. Young Shinobi would be so disappointed in his adult version.

As far as movies, I only got two more. Some time after work this week I wanna go see Caught Stealing and then later this month, One Battle After Another. Only because I pray to Aronofsky and enjoy PTA. :o

I've been catching up with a lot of this year's movies lately so I'm not feeling as behind as I normally would. I might check out The Long Walk and One Battle After Another in theaters this month but beyond that it's pretty quiet until November and beyond with Wicked Part Deux and Avatar and the Goblet of Fire.

For video games I've got Ghost of Yotei but I probably won't play that until the holidays.

I also had an unexpected TV show binge dropped in my lap because The Good Place is leaving Netflix in three weeks so I've been preoccupied with that at the moment.

"Thanks for the money!" ;)

When I was younger, I mainly played sports games, superhero games, and platformers. I find adult me loves a good Metroidvania more than anything else now. When well done, nothing is more satisfying than finding that secret where I can now progress or that ability that helps me beat a hard boss

Are any of you guys watching Dexter Resurrection? Im only posting this here and not in the Dexter thread because i dont wanna run into spoilers. I gave up on Dexter a decade ago and never watched New Blood but I’m hearing this new revival series is FIRE and the character is finally back on track. Curious what you guys think?

Finale pending, but thus far I really enjoy it. Easily best Dexter in a long time. Great setup. Peter Dinklage is fun. I hope they stick the landing
