Oh wow that Wakanda animated series was released and not a damn person is talking about it.

I made a post about it in the thread for it. It was all right for the most part though it probably could have been edited together into a movie.

It was pretty inconsequential, felt like Tales of the Jedi or one of those little, miss-able animated backup stories

I started it for kicks and giggles but it didn't keep my attention. Cool idea on paper and I'm glad it exists but wasn't wowed by what I saw.

I really wish Marvel animation wasn't so unexceptional.

I just finished the fourth episode. I thought it was pretty solid overall, with episodes 2 and 4 being my favorites. I was a fan of the animation style. I'd be down to see more.

I mean, they have a variety of solid profitmakers, if those horror movies have smart budgets. And I think they have some hope for Supergirl to be solid, if maybe not at Superman's level.

Though good ****ing lord, July is a just a buzz saw next year. If you thought JW-Superman-FF was bad, whew baby. Minions 3- Moana live action- Odyssey- Evil Dead- Spider-man.

This year they've had:

The least profitable movie there is Superman. They still have Weapons, Conjuring 4, Mortal Kombat II. It's going to be an extremely profitable year. Next year is not going to compare.

I somehow just suffered through Bloodlines. People seriously thought this crap was good? Just a bunch of William Morris Agency clients I wouldn’t cast in a Wisconsin community theatre production of Our Town running away from falling household appliances for two hours. I don’t know. I guess I tend to view the horror genre with too much scrutiny because movies rarely scare me but because of that, most horror films fail for me on the most basic levels. Still, I’d like to enjoy some schlocky death chaos. But I just struggled to get through this nonsense. It just made me more pissed that Laid just got canceled. That show has a similar premise actually but with much better acting, writing, characters, etc. I mean, it’s probably unfair to compare the great Stephanie Hsu to the losers they cast in this dumb movie but so the hell what.
But yeah, that awesome show gets ****canned after one season because Peacock, meanwhile I’m sure this crap movie will get another 10 sequels. At least they kept racist ass Ali Larter away from this movie. She’ll probably be back though since they sort of referenced her character’s stupid name lol.

Oh yeah, apparently the director was scrolling through the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack the whole movie. Gunn should sue lol.

In the, "I did not see that coming" stakes. F1 is probably beating Superman at the WW box office. It's legs overseas have been pretty nuts.

I love Bloodlines. Love it. But I've loved the series since day one and only don't enjoy 4.

The movie that I suffered through recently, and I'd argue is the worst movie I've watched this decade, is the How to Train Your Dragon remake. It is one of the most embarrassing, disgusting exercises I can remember. It's like watching a soul of a film being removed by a director who clearly doesn't know how to shoot in live action.

Dragon seems really polarizing from people I’ve talked to. I’ve never seen the animated version (I know I should) and I haven’t seen the live action either so I can’t comment. But friends I’ve talked to seem to really love it or hate it. One in particular said the exact opposite of what you said about it and she loves the original.

The original is a favorite of mine. Watching them attempt to mimic the exact same scenes, so much uglier and worse is very triggering to me. The entire exercise felt like an insult to the beautiful art form that is animation. Not even the Disney live action movies feel like they are this nakedly built for consumption.

Damn allergies! My left eye has sinus pressure. I have to take a quarter of an antihistamine or else fall asleep. Also took some aspirin to alleviate any inflammation.
