The Naked Gunn in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

Not sure you guys want to do anymore deals with the devils. That seems to only result in Deshaun Watsons :weeping:
That's cause we made the deal with a stupid demon. I am talking about the smart ones yall deal with :o

NB gets a major title every few years from his Boston teams. And yet, still miserable when it comes to sports. That's how you know he's a real fan. :funny:
Celtics won the title just over a year ago, meanwhile the general feeling around the team is pure misery lmao

We love sports round here :o

I can't even hate on being a Celtics fan anymore. Not after seeing Noa Dalzell. Boston fans have it all. :weeping:

Meanwhile, here in Detroit, things are all bizarro land...

Though big respect to my nephew for being a Green Bay fan while living in Dallas.

I probably have mentioned this before, but I am a fan of:
-UK basketball
-any SEC football aside from Florida and Tennessee
-Lakers
-Yankees
-Cardinals
-Tom Brady
-Primetime
-LeBron
-Ric Flair

I enjoy excellence. Life is too short to cheer for teams like the Browns or the Clippers.

Oh, Tom Brady. How I miss watching you completely own everyone around the league. Good times. That second to last year in Tampa was a blast. Playing the AFC East one last time. Blowing out the Dolphins. Crushing Bills' and Jets' hearts with game winning drives in the final seconds/OT.

God, if only he had divorced his wife during that season. Then he wouldn't have been such a sourpuss during that Rams divisional game. They should've won, and wouldn't have lost to the Jimmy G Niners or that Bengals team.

The number one thing I root for in sports is Mina Kimes.

Anyway, the Brand New Day set photos are wicked cool. Cool to see a practical car chase being shot in an actual city instead of on a giant green screen backlot. All the photos from people around make it look like Spidey's real. Honestly don't think I've been this excited since Homecoming.

I feel like they got the right director for this. That and Feige feeling like he needs some real good will going forward.

What are you most excited about with BND?

Until they wash it with CGI in post.

Oh the Cleveland Browns. The team with such class that in early 2000s they pelted players and refs with beer bottles such that the game had to be called.

Also the team that has made the playoffs a whopping three times since 2000. The first of those playoffs was in 2002 when Tim Couch led them two years removed from an expansion season to a 9-7 record despite playing behind an offensive line that might as well have been five matadors letting the defense rush at him. He led the league in game winning drives in 4th quarter that year. Of course the Browns fans cheered when he broke his leg in the final game of the season.

I did not cheer Couch getting hurt, so don't be putting that evil on me. I actually have been saying we did Couch dirty since like....2001 lol! And yeah no argument on them being a clown show like....my entire life. Hence why I want that smart demon to come our way :o

I'm excited by the potential of the story. They're in a position where for the first time on film, especially for this particular character, we're going to delve into what it's like for Peter to not want the responsibility of being Peter Parker. Some of my favorite stories are when it's Peter throwing himself into work to avoid actually coping with his actual life. They're in a particularly unique position with this Peter, where for as much as his experience with his counterparts save him from a darker path, his arc in No Way Home is a negative one. In typical Peter Parker fashion, he took his lesson to the extreme. Seeing him grow from that and find the equilibrium if done right will be gangbusters.

Curious as to how The Punisher is going to play into all of it. The morality differences are obviously there and will be fun to play against, but Frank is such a good character to help Peter appreciate the importance of living life with the people he loves.

Of course, I say all this, but since it's an MCU movie this will all barley be explored :weeping:

Yeah. I get you. I’m a Kentucky basketball fan. I have a love/hate relationship with my fellow fans.

Interesting thing about Couch is that I’ve heard Bruce Arians say that he puts Couch up there in the class of best QBs he’s ever coached, along with Peyton Manning, Brady, and above Big Ben. He says that he was basically hurt during the beginning of his career from the pounding he took during the expansion year and he was perpetually playing hurt from year 3 an on.

But I guess it worked out well for Couch because after he retired he discovered HGH as a means to stimulate recovery from all of his injuries. And now in his late 40’s he looks like a Greek god:

Here is the real question of the day yall:

Cap is a Dodgers fan. Brooklyn born and raised. He goes into the ice. He comes out modern day. The Dodgers are now the LA Dodgers.

Who does Steve Rogers now root for? Did he stay loyal to the Dodgers? Did he become a fan of another team, more likely the Mets cause being g a Yankees fan has to be a no no for someone that was a loyal BROOKLYN Dodgers fan. Or, did he choose a 3rd team? Or no team at all and stopped watching!

What say you all?

I’m an Auburn fan and a Falcons fan, every football season has been hell since 2016 :o

Brooklyn has the Cyclones, I think he’d swear off those traitors and stick with the (minor league) home team lol. He’s loyal like that
