I don't like anything that's been shown so far. After watching the teaser, my opinion hasn't changed. Roshi looks nothing like his manga counterpart. There's just no excuse for this. When I look at Roshi, all I see is another Mr. Miyagi/Bulletproof Monk. Piccolo doesn't look as bad, but they still managed to screw him up. He looks more like the Djinn from Wishmaster. The sets and costumes look cheap as well.

Having seen the good quality version Trailer and with sound, I'm even more disappointed than I was before.

Whatever it was, it wasn't Dragonball. Usually Fox manages at least to present an awesome Trailer that tricks you into watching a movie, that you knew from the beginning would suck. But they didn't even accomplish that little feat. And it has nothing to do with my negative stand against the live action movie. It was simply a poor trailer.

It simply didn't feel like Dragonball. Sure, you've got Goku holding a Dragonball and doing some stuns in his orange Gi, but I got a Bulletproof Monk vibe more than anything else. And what the hell is up with those character backgrounds?

Instead of going with the mankind will be doomed direction, they should've tried to convey the feel of a grand adventure. That's what Dragonball was about at the beginning. One big whooping adventure and hunt for the Dragonballs and Goku sticking along for the ride because he wouldn't let his Grandfather's Dragonball alone with that crazy witch.

I weep, having seen the Movie Trailer and then watching the Anime Intro again. *sigh* What could've been.

If this movie didn't have "Dragonball" as the title no one here would be excited about that teaser. The sfx look terrible and everything else looks mediocre as hell.

I hate that Roshi isnt perverted. I hate that from the looks of the teaser the movie doesnt look like it'll retain the light hearted nature of the anime. I also thought the character profile images were cheesy and lame as all hell.

The teaser trailer said it is "The first live action Dragonball movie".
Well that's false right there, Japan already made one.

I am not going to blame fox now. Fox is usally good at making trailers but when the footage you have is **** then how can you make good trailers?

Atleast the F4 movies had lots of money shots for trailers etc. This movie has no money shot. Please don't tell me that flipping and explosions are money shot. I am sorry but this was a badly cut trailer with lame music and surprisingly lame action. Where did the 100 million go?

I think the director wasted it on hookers etc. in Mexico. I know there are tons of hot latino girls there so it makes perfect sense. Fox knows they have a really bad movie and hence they are dumping it in April. Eragon got a christmas release because it had some cool footage i.e. dragon but in DB I see nothing that will make a non fan go see it.

The trailer has leaked and I think fox will just release a HD version of it in a week or two OR they will delay the trailer to december and try to get some good footage ready. Oh and this isn't going to get a superbowl spot.

They got a really bad choreographer and cinematographer for this type of movie. James Wong got his usual crew who have zero experience with such movies. I mean i don't understand how this movie has worse action than The One.

No cool fight clip just a lot of jumping and flipping.

Piccolo looking like Spike from Buffy.

And you're right if they didnt list the character names or call it Dragonball i'd probably think it was something else!

By now you realize I'm being facetious and having nothing but contempt for what has happened to the DB franchise.

Using wire work was a stupid idea. These characters are suppose to move with power and grace. The exact opposite of what you see.

The anime and manga was known for its style. It was over the top. Obviously, you can't translate everything over BUT the movie lacks a lotta punch visually. Plus, it looks so cheap looking.

It certainly has the feel of a cliche kung-fu movie. Well not a traditional kung-fu film but this new KUNG FU IN AMERICA type of martial arts movies.
