Green Arrow always came off as an old man.

Because Wally is a sidekick that graduated to hero something we have not yet seen on film. It is unique and fresh and of all the superheroes, legacy has played a more integral part to the Flash character than most others.

i get that, but that doesnt explain why he should be in a JLA as flash before barry if he's on the same team as hal. if they pulled kyle out to be in a movie before hal along with wally before barry i wouldnt mind that. it just doesnt make sense to me to have hal there and not barry. im not sayin, that it should never happen but we should at least see barry as flash first.

How does it not make sense? This isnt the comics. These are the movies. One character shouldnt dictate the rest especially if they are going to attempt to bring characters together from the individual movies rather than make an independent JL: Mortal-esque project and a Flash movie should be Wally because of the unique, fresh dynamic he brings to the table. Sequels arnt guaranteed, theres no reason to go through motions just to change main character in the middle of a franchise and finally tackle that dynamic. Movies are installments, not serial, changing the character wont work as well.

Yes. He was in Eureka.

He played Nathan Stark. He has a low voice but for Martian Manhunter they could easily use computer tech to alter the voice (as they did for Bale) to sound more alien.

And then he could play John Jones in his regular appearance.
ok thanks i thought it was him i just wanted to double check. I would be down with him in a few comics roles. Enjoyed his time on erueka.

co sign

that whole well there using Hal so they need to use Barry argument is BS
I mean in the cartoon they had John Stewart and HAwkgirl as founding members, so ya there are reasons that could be said for why Barry should be first but thats a different thread

true about that, but logically if they want to start off the bat with flash it would be simple to start with barry. but its all up to the writer on which flash will be used if flash does make it to screens next after hex/losers/gl.

OT: I'm so pumped for The Losers. I havent even read the comics but the cast has me sold. Thats the kind of casting I like in movies: some familiar faces (Idris Elba, Columbus Short), some guys I know but maybe not alot of people know by name (Zoe Saldana, an underrated actor hopefully getting his big break (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) , and them a guy I never heard of (Oscar Jaenada).
Thats good casting.
Im more pumped up about that then Gl or Jonah Hex

so wat ur sayin is that they shouldnt use barry at all and just go with wally from the jump, im cool with that. id prefer barry though. i get it now.

Adding Ed Quinn to this as the Martian Manhunter. He's been my favorite for MM for a while.

He's 6'4 and now on HBO's True Blood.

Ed looks like an older version of chris bale in the bottom

Like i said in flash thread, i am a fan of either barry or wally though all the takes in seen in live action/animated has been a merger of the two. I rather have both character be who they are and to be done to justice and both have their fair share of time as flash. I would kinda hate to have first film start up and we are already in middle of the story of the flash without knowing how things got their(yes yes it could be done in flash backs and i get that). I rather start from the start and get their when you get their. I am sure most general audience members would have the same feeling.

Not Wally as the first one, but Barry dying in the prologue of the Flash series, and Wally getting out of Barry's shadow in a well-paced evolution of character throughout a Flash series would be the ideal route (mainly because its different) and because the series is that way he would appear in JLA, if WB is going the crossover route. IF not than pretty much anything goes when it comes to an independent team flick. I dont necessarily think it will work that well as an independent flick since I think Marvel will get their crossover flick out first and set a precedent for the general audience.

 Its not the middle of the story. It is the story. More like the middle of their combined lives. Most movies are basically just an instant (albeit incredible instances) in the characters lives. You pop in a movie and unless that character dies you dont see how their lives begin or end.

When they start off with barry i think they should use chris egan

When Wally is first shown i dont know who they should use, but when they get to him being flash wally should be played by scott porter, i know everybody says that but i think he would be good as wally.

I agree about Scott Porter as Wally. I honestly dont see why people want him as Barry when he looks and acts on FNL like Wally. I mean if hes cast as Barry I dont mind but you cant deny that Porter looks more like Wally

As far as Egan, I dont really like him as Barry. Its hard to find an actor like Barry who has alot of likability and wit about him

Scott was up for the role of Barry in "Justice League" and then beat out by Adam Brody.

Anton Yelchin was cast as Wally West.

The current Flash script (worked on by Johns now) will without a doubt feature Barry Allen in the lead.

It's more than likely Scott will be playing Barry Allen (even though he's capable of playing Wally).

But nevertheless, Flash is Flash.

Scott is good enough to play either.

If he is even going up for the role this time around.

According to TMT, he's a WB favorite. I think he'll be one of the candidates but they'll probably throw some bigger names into the mix too.

More flavors of the month like for Green Lantern.

probably so, i do really hope flash can get into active development get a director to stick with the project and then hopefully its out filming some point late next year/early 2011.

i hope that by the time GL is released that WW or Flash is filming

I would really like to see egan play barry b4 i see scott play him. id still might be a great movie no matter which one plays barry, i just hope if they cast somebody else as wally he could be as good as scott. i havent seen anybody else yet that i think could be a perfect fit for wally

Whoever is destined to play Wally someday is probably 10 years old right now..

Figured it could use some visuals
