I agree about Scott Porter as Wally. I honestly dont see why people want him as Barry when he looks and acts on FNL like Wally. I mean if hes cast as Barry I dont mind but you cant deny that Porter looks more like Wally

As far as Egan, I dont really like him as Barry. Its hard to find an actor like Barry who has alot of likability and wit about him

Nah. If I were casting Porter for a DC character linked to the Justice League I'd use him as Firestorm (the Ronnie version).

JL animated line up. Hawkgirl provides a second girl, and i never liked Hal. Not only is John Steward goddamn awesome, but he adds some racial variety and i know that to the studios things like that are important, because they said so when they were about to shoot that now cancelled JL movie.
Also, have Wally instead of Barry, because Wally is the current Flash and he is the young, less experienced member, always lighthearted, always optimistic. The JL needs Wally.

So I guess the (otherwise welcome) news Showtime and Jaime have recently brought us basically means that WB/DC is kicking a potential JLA movie way down the road. I figure at least 7 years or more based on the resources WB will need to dedicate to make the expensive tentpoles for each of these characters, and that timeline discounts sequels WB may want to order for a franchise or two in lieu of the team up film. Make no mistake, I think it's great that WB is finally getting their act together, and I can't wait to hear news of the movies they have in the works. But I can't help but feel conflicted at the lack of mention of a future JLA film (to this point, anyway). So the wait continues.

yes i too hope things are finally going in the right direction with wb on dc characters. now hopefully they will treat the characters well and we get some good solo films going with flash, ww, maybe green arrow, and what comes from the new superman.

You do make good points. Most of the JL lineups I listed have little diversity, however Hawkgirl is not that interesting of a character, and Hal is alot more interesting than John. They would just be not as interesting side characters

John can be good if they write him well. But since we re getting a Hal movie, if there is ever going to be a JL one, it will have Hal in it. Not that i have a big problem with that.
But i'd really like a second woman in there. If not Hawkgirl then maybe Black Canary?
I'd also like to take Aquaman out. He isnt that interesting to me and his powers are kind of irrelevant most of the time. I'd rather he stays in Atlantis and he has cameos when the plot involves the sea.

well that would be an interesting move. Though i still think jla is a far away thing. Since right now we got gl for next year, batman 3 probably 2012, and then no clue when/if flash and superman reboots will be happenings. So i wouldnt expect to see jl to at least 2015/2016 the earliest. Hopefully though most of the stuff will happen.

Sincerely, Nolan directing JL sounds like a BS rumor. He mever seemed interested in that. But if turns out to be true that Jonah will direct TMOS, who knows.

BS or not, a Nolan JL would be something really worth getting excited about. You never know, I'm sure WB will do their best to keep him to whatever extent possible, $$$, unprecedented freedom etc.

While the writing would be exceptional, i doubt he could handle the planet cracking action. I'd rather have someone like Abraams. The Superman script he proposed to WB was beyond stupid, but Star Trek convinced me that he is the right man for this kind of movies. Have Goyer and Jonah (comicbookiness + sheer writing skill) write the script.
