Picked up all the DC Collectibles New 52 Crime Syndicate: Ultraman, Superwoman, Power Ring, Owlman, Johnny Quick & Atomica, and Deathstorm.

Wish DC Collectibles would stick withe this articulation.

Why are the original four Ghostbusters figures so expensive to begin with? Most other figures in the line can be found in mint condition for around $50, while the first wave figures cost hundreds of dollars. Honestly, I think I'd rather just buy one of the repaints and paint them in the right colors.

Couldn't tell you. Most likely because they are the original four of a large series, it's also been my experience that the role play items that were part of the toy line such as the Proton Pack and Ghost Trap also fetch mega bucks everyday. Also the Firehouse HQ and the original Ecto 1. All in all it's just a very popular series that collectors love.

While this is hardly new considering I've had this figure since I was a kid, I did however finish customizing him today.

Well Ecto-glow figure can go for utterly insane money. I'm only missing about 8 figures from the entire range, but annoyingly I'm missing loads of accessories for them. But my Wave 1 busters are complete t:

Yeah they do since that was the last series before the line was cancelled. I sold much of my collection off besides a few key things, such as my original busters and stay puft himself. As of now I'm only missing a proton pack for Winston but they are around, the streamers are fairly sought after since I've seen lots of broken ones.

Now I'm in the process of restoring an Ecto-1 and Firehouse HQ, I recently bought.

I found this today after wanting it for a while and surprisingly it was at an antique/thrift store for a super cheap price.

Yes it was and also one of the variant Joker figures in the Animated Series line. Kenner's classic formula of reusing molds.
