Are the 3.75 Doctor Who figures as awful in hand as they look in the packets?
compared them to the 5inch figure line they are garbage, i do like them but i do feel disappointed the quality is nowhere near the level of the previous lines
for what they are they're acceptable i guess, but i can't help but be letdown considering how good the previous wave was before they changed scales
They fit in well with other figures in that scale like we've been getting lately and i appreciate the cheaper price for them (They'd want to be seeing how the quality control, and effort isn't there) The 5inch scale series here ranges from 20-30 bucks so it is nice to be able to get two characters for essentially the price of one
As for the figures themselves
the likenesses to Jenna and Matt is very 50/50
Out of the two Clara has the better likeness to her real life counterpart, but even then it's not perfect, her face isn't quite that full, seems a shame there seemingly aren't plans for a 5inch clara because jenna is quite an attractive young lady and the figure does not do her justice
Matt's figure is significantly worse in the likeness department, it's there if u look at him from different angles, it kind of looks like him but the key term being kind of, oh its passable i guess cause the trademark hair is still accurate so u can see it and know that that's supposed to be Matt smith's doctor but again compared to the 5inch figure of smith there is no comparison. i'm guessing it was a money saving thing but i mean there was enough sculpts done previously they could've downscaled. The outfits are accurate but i'm not a fan of the Putty like sculpt of the doctor's coat with very small details added at the last minute.
a 5inch series 7 line would've been more preferable than this, hopefully they improve this line if they're going with this scale now because besides the enemy figures the humans were very disappointing
one last thing, the quality control on these just didn't happen
out of the ones to choose from i got the only doctor that didn't look like it was painted in less than 5 seconds. some of them were absolutely atrocious, sloppy paint apps on everything, unpainted hair, eyes were crosseyed/dripping out of his eyesockets and alot of other half assed paint jobs
