Comics the "new" Venom thread

LOL! The scraping at the bottom of the barrell with the Venom character is ear piercingly bad at this point. Another desperate move by Marvel to try and make Venom interesting.

I agree. I was sick of Venom years ago. I know I'm in the minority here, but I only really liked him in the movie.

I thought Toxin would be the last symbiote...

im confused, if its a new symbiote on a different person how is it Venom?

and for that matter, how is Gargan called Venom, i've heard people say its actually the symbiote thats Venom but that doesn't make any sense, its not like Spider-man was called Venom when he had it

I've been a fan of Venom for years, and for many more years to come. I admit times have been hard, but there have been a few times Venom has shined in a lot of this obscurity. But this...this is not the way to go. I'm sorry, yeah the design for this "anti-venom" is cool, but why? Why make an anti-Venom? Why not just stick with the current Venom? Damn it, they had it right with The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock! What is going on now? Is this more of this brand new day stuff?

Personally, as I said in the other thread in the comics section, I think Anti-Venom looks and sounds cool, but I'm really being optimistic about it. I mean, Dan Slott and JRJR togeather make a fantastic team, so that's another reason why I think this will turn out well.

That's right. For the Teams sake alone, you have to at least give this a chance. You figure there is a Planet of Symbiotes, so there are all kinds of symbi's out there.Plus, you have to like the play on words, Venom,Toxin, Anti Venom.Soon we'll here about Epi Pen or Antidote

This looks interesting, and they said that the Anti-Venom does have a connection to one of Spidey's villains. Could be interesting, maybe it'll be the first post-OMD Spidey story I'll read. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they gave the symbiote back to Eddie, I can't imagine what else they would do in a story with both him and the Thunderbolts (where the symbiote is currently).

Sigh, I get the feeling anti-venom will fade into obscurity like Toxin & others. Yeah, I'm glad that they're looking at Venom, but I feel they will let us down. The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock was an astounding story, I just wish they would continue from that. At the moment I'm not sure what to make of it.

According to the recent interviews with Whacker, they're continuing Brock into this story from that last one...
