Homecoming The Next Spider-Man - - - - - Part 14

Marvel and Sony are rightly taking their time. It's likely the actor cast will be in the role for decade so they have to get it right. Another reboot or recast after this will be ruinous for the Spider-Man franchise and brand.
I am 95% sure that the role has actually already been cast. It'd have to be. I imagine Marvel have been making out shortlists since there was any remnant of cooperation with Sony last year. With costumes, dialogue etc., I think the deal has been done for a while now.

I just hope it's Teo Halm. I like how in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, he looks like a legit 15 year old and is tiny compared to the rest of the Avengers. In Raimi's Spider-Man and ASM, Spidey looks like a full-grown adult no different from other superheroes (prolly like Dylan), but someone like Halm who has the acting chops, age, look etc. for the role would look and act like Peter Parker actually should.

Just look at these pictures mayn:

If Marvel has created separate scripts depending on whether the Spidey deal would go through or not you don't think they started this casting process a while ago? This has been in talks since late last year, you think they're waiting until Civil War starts to do screen testing? It just doesn't make sense, regardless of what Feige said. They're keeping it under wraps.

Yeah, he's already said that Marvel were working to add Spider-Man to the MCU since at least October 2014. They probably made their decision months ago.

I can see that Asa Butterfield has been working out for the part. :o

Maybe a certain redditleaker23456 was right all along... Mwuahahahaha!

Despite what I said though, I definitely think Dylan O'Brien is our new Spider-Man. I can't see that not happening.

If he gets it right, well, good on him, wasn't much of a wild guess.

But if he continues getting stuff like that correct such as the story for the solo film etc., I'll be eating a big 'ol serving of crow.

Like I said, fake and/or dated "shortlists" among other things are deliberately leaked to keep the public's eye off of a potential truth for any character. And misinformation is more rampant for Spider-Man because it's Spider-Man. These scoopers and people like Talion would never admit to such a thing.

Not sure if serious with the whole '95%' thing or being really funny.
:lmao:

Yeah TEO! :D
But those photos of Teo are the ugliest I have seen! Not necessarily a bad thing, he may have to nerd up forth e PP role.
He really seems like he would be a good pick. :) (Though as I have stated, the time warp may make him too young.)

Who is Talion!? Why is everybody always talking about him?

Talion had been worshipping the scoopers and their scoops for quite a while, then somehow managed to "inadvertently", as he so put it, get his own sources as such a convenient time who so conveniently tell him things that are not so different from what the scoopers he worships as gods were already reporting.

The puking thing is so old dude...

He's the guy who has 'sources' which state that no matter what marvel is going to force them selves to choose an actor between 15-20 even if they don't find anyone that is as good as Maguire or Garfield were, even if they can't find a half decent choice.
Oh and his 'sources' are secret, he has only shared them with a couple of people, one of which said his sources should not be trusted 100%.
Not to mention any source he has would have to be non official anyways, not someone working at marvel, but someone who is a scooper who overheard something from marvel employees, which may have been translated as strict legalistic rules, when in reality it could have been just rumors.
E.G: Talion is the one who states that he 'knows' a lot to be without a doubt truth, when in reality he can only have an educated guess. :p
He also would trust sources that I know I can't trust, so my question is can we trust his sources? I personally don't think so. Especially when they defy common sense.

Marvel could not have legally started casting for a character they do not control without an agreement giving them access to the character being in place.

That would be like Disney starting a search for the cast of a new Star Wars film before George Lucas had sold his company and all of its assets to them.

Maybe you're also one of those people who prove their point by posting "cute" Tumblr gifs of an actor (*cough* *cough* o'brien fans *cough*), but I was looking for pictures of him that looked like Peter.

I think Spider-Man's age combined with Dylan being cast in a film which shoots at the same time as civil war makes it clear and obvious that he is not going to be cast. I'd be happy for him to get it but the only trustworthy evidence pointing to him is Paley fest.

But deals are finalized when they are made, not when they're announced to the public.

Teo confirmed.
