He's about to drop a bomb...

His behavior has oddly changed from before to after the deal, among other things now stating his dream role is Marty McFly. It raises questions.
Really? Marty? He might fit that role too... XD

And as far as the Marty McFly comments go, when he answered that, it wasn't a particularly quick response to the dream role question, as if he had to think of a different answer because he couldn't say Spider-Man without it snowballing into additional Spider-Man questions.
INteresting... he probably has auditioned then!
He. :cwink:

I know I have a rather female-sounding username (which comes from Raven Darkholme) and the subnick under it sounds rather girly too, but that refers to Gal Gadot, who is in my avatar. Oh, and the location sounds a bit girly as well. :o But I assure you I am male.
I'm'a blame taht ont he key lag I have been getting where I have tog o backa nd correct everything because my computerssav es the keys in the wrong order. (IDDN i't edit that sentance justso you cans ee. :P (Oh crap it happened again. (Then happened once more but I fixed it. :P)))
I did at one point wonder whether you were male or female though. :oldrazz:
BTW I'm not joking about that just as an excuse. :whatever: I actually must have missed fixing that.
I should probably start using Chrome again...

Kinda lost, what exactly are we discussing...outside of DR's user name?

So my guess is that if Dylan auditioned, and the 'short list' is the real official short list...
BAsically if Dylan auditioned they no doubt thought he fit the role really well. However, they probably had the same concern many others have, his age. So as they narrowed down they decided they could probably find someone as good as him at a younger age, and they narrowed it down to younger ages. Once they got to the short list, the list is looked at again, and being unimpressed they would go back and pick the best actors from the bunch, no matter how young or old, as long as they look like they could pass as a 15-19 year old within this year and the next, they would be brought back and considered. This list would likely contain Dylan and probably a couple other unknowns. In the end, if the short-list is real, it would be foolish of sony/marvel to settle the best of a bad bunch, when they know they can pick someone else who is better, but may look a year too old. (3 at the VERY most, but after the time warp it wouldn't be a problem at all!)
Bottom line: Sony and MARVEL know better than to just cast an older actor who does perfectly,w hen there is a chance there is a younger actor they haven't seen that would do just as well. But they would be even more foolish to then choose a younger actor who was 'meh'.

I just want an announcement so we can bicker about what's really important...

THE COSTUME!...am I right?...

We have so much do get into...

The size shape of the eyes...
Raised or flat webbing...
The size of the spider...
The shades of blue and red...

Spider-Man: The New Avenger. Barf.

this. good point. I really hope the casting debates will be laid to rest soon.

He obviously made it up on the spot.

My God I can't believe some people actually believe him on that.

Why must we wait for the actor to be cast before we can discuss the suit?
It doesn't make much sense, especially because we have already discussed it a lot!

Just a few more weeks.

If screentesting is set to begin, we should know something VERY soon.

It's always "just a few more weeks"... :(

The only reason I can come up with why Marvel hasn't told us the actor is because they are preparing for an event of some kind. With Spidey having to have muscle, the actor has to have plenty of time for preparation. I don't care if he isn't due to the set in a few weeks, no one can bulk up in that time

What are you talking about? Is that a rumored title or something
Umberto Gonzalez a.k.a el mayimbe rumored that that would be the name for it in some live podcast. I didn't see it, but after searching for where the name came from found multiple 'sources' (Forum users on different forums :p) saying he claimed it would be the title.
He is basically someone like sneider, you can't really trust him 100%, but he helps report rumors so we can at laest get an idea of whats going on0. :

I can't believe some people are so easy to dis him.
...
No one is dissing him...
Are you so overprotective that when someone claims that you shouldn't trust someone 100% that they are dissing them?
:lmao:
You really should stop pretending people are just hating on reporters. There is a difference between hate and mistrust. :cwink: Talion doesn't share his sources with all of us because he can't fully trust us, not because he hates us. :p

Ok thanks
Spider-man: the new avenger would be pretty good marketing-wise (I know anyone in this forum would accept just plain "Spider-man" or "Marvel's Spider-man" but they obviously can't name it either one of those). The one problem I have is that the name also implies that Avengers were a big plot point and I reaally don't want that

why not? netflix daredevil is simply titled daredevil, sometimes referred to marvel's daredvil.

so, why couldn't they just name it spiderman? or marvel's spiderman? the "marvel's" could be interpreted as "marvel cinematic universe presents:"
