If that were so, I wouldnt keep repeating the same things over and over.
Why can't you just let them be? what do get out of constantly telling everyone that Marvel have nothing to do with this movie?

The facts disagree with you.
Like the fact that Kevin Feigue has a vision for the story? and how he's very much involved?

@MyDudeSpidey: You're the second person in 24 hours who has reduced the reporting of multiple entertainment news entities to "PR", which makes you look incredibly foolish.

@harryoscorp: Just because Kevin Feige is involved in this movie's production does not mean that Marvel Studios is.

When Feige speaks about this movie, he is speaking on behalf of Sony, not Marvel Studios.

The reddit thread has pointed out that Asa's commented here and here on the "Asa Butterfield is Marvel's Choice to Play Spider-Man" thread over on r/Movies.

I don't really know how relevant it is since he doesn't address the rumors (just video game stuff), but it is interesting.

Kevin Feigue is like the president of Marvel Studios, do you really think if he's involved Marvel won't be either?

But Spidey is also appearing in Marvel Studio films as well. He needs to be there to assure narrative continuity.

He didn't blow his wad, which is a very good sign. :applaud he EVADED the question.

Yes.

The reporting that was done by multiple entertainment news entities regarding the specifics of the arrangement made that crystal clear.

He could still be playing with fire by acknowledging the existence of that thread. :oldrazz:

Probably not quite playing with fire. Maybe fingering the matches though. :oldrazz:

I do like the idea of him reading that thread and just needing to correct that guy about whether or not he plays Starcraft so badly that he's willing to just go, "Oh screw it," and comment despite it probably being against his better judgement.

Asa is following the rumors? Wow... How is that in any way suspicious? Just seems like he enjoys being apart of speculation.

Asa is obviously a contender. Is he the main contender? I hope so. He and Timothée Chalamet are my favorite choices by a long mile.

Still didn't adress them though.

Now that is more suspicious than Dylan at Paley Fest.

Eh, wouldn't go that far. He didn't make another comment after that, maybe he logged off. I'm sure he's talked to Marvel though, he just didn't want to say anything.

Ennnhhh... Dylan clearly did not want to talk about it. Asa certainly seems more comfortable with the topic if he's willing to comment on that thread largely unprovoked--I mean, it wasn't like they were asking him anything. He just appeared to correct them on what video games he plays. It's certainly interesting, but I don't think it's suspicious really. Just... odd.

Although, a few people were tagging him further down in the thread. That's probably what attracted his attention in the first place.

On top of that, we can't see how he's reacting to it. Whereas we clearly saw how Dylan reacted to the Spider-Man inquiry.

Okay maybe not as suspicious as Paley Fest, but you guys gotta admit.. It was a little weird.

I wouldn't even call it suspicious because it's obvious now that Asa Butterfield, Timothée Chalamet, Liam James, Tom Holland and Nat Wolff ARE contenders for the role. With that said, as you can see above, there are already people trying to dismiss it like that would change the chances of the kid getting the part.

"No, MY favorite acted way more suspicious so he probably is getting the part" = Mental gymnastics:
