So its between Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland. Hoping Tom Holland gets it. Devin Faraci just dropped this info.

Isaac turned 16 some weeks ago, don't count him out

It doesn't work that way.

Here is how it works:

Marvel informs agencies that they are looking for actors, young actors for the role. His agent probably don't know that, but since he is interested in the character, if she ever pursued the role, what she'd hear from the casting agencies is that they are casting younger, just like what Logan Lerman agents REPORTEDLY heard. It is what it is, why to assume that he was been suspicious instead of understand that he was saying the truth?

And yet Nat Wolff is on the 'shortlist' when he is 20 years old.

How is 20 a young actor but 23 not? When your in your 20s 3 years make no difference.

I wasn't even going to comment about Dylan but your posts are so condescending. Saying things like facts when your basing all of this off what a scooper has said.

A 20 year old is more likely to pass for a fifteen/sixteen year old than a 24 year old.

Dont understand how Dylan can look too much like a leading man. Surely that is a good thing when there is a lot riding on getting this right. Still going for Tom Holland if it is between him and Asa.

Holland? Is the one with, you know?

Don't you like us? :(

Nothing against the Brits. It just seems all these British actors are getting American roles, like The Walking Dead and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. They are good, don't get me wrong!

But Pete's a kid from Queens. Being I live in the New York metropolitan area, I'm partial to having someone from the area playing the role of Peter Parker.

Oh, where did Dylan O'Brien come from again... :cwink:

Anyway, I also refer to Dark Raven's post about "getting" Spidey's New York Jewish type of humor.

I can understand that. I know the world be iffy on James Bond if the actor had a sniff of American in him :hehe:

I expect the role has already been offered to one of the two as this info was from last week. Tom has been on location shooting a movie as has Asa.

Wait so they don't want Dylan because he's too good looking and they want someone ugly?

WTF?!?! That's such a dumb reason.

Tom looks more like Peter Parker to me. I also get the feeling he could handle the humor of Spider-Man better than Asa could.

They want somebody who actually looks like your 'average Joe' teenager. Out of Dylan, Asa, and Tom, "one of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn't belong."

Exactly. The kid is also really into outdoor sports and is a keen skateboard enthusiast. Far better pick that Asa though Dylan would have been the one to really excite me.
