So its between Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland. Hoping Tom Holland gets it. Devin Faraci just dropped this info.
It doesn't work that way.
Here is how it works:
Marvel informs agencies that they are looking for actors, young actors for the role. His agent probably don't know that, but since he is interested in the character, if she ever pursued the role, what she'd hear from the casting agencies is that they are casting younger, just like what Logan Lerman agents REPORTEDLY heard. It is what it is, why to assume that he was been suspicious instead of understand that he was saying the truth?![]()

The irony is that Peter Parker doesn't even look drawn like a teenager in that comic.![]()
What's with all these Brits?
It looks like it's gone.Holland? Is the one with, you know?

Don't you like us?![]()

I can understand that. I know the world be iffy on James Bond if the actor had a sniff of American in himNothing against the Brits. It just seems all these British actors are getting American roles, like The Walking Dead and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. They are good, don't get me wrong!
But Pete's a kid from Queens. Being I live in the New York metropolitan area, I'm partial to having someone from the area playing the role of Peter Parker.
Oh, where did Dylan O'Brien come from again...
Anyway, I also refer to Dark Raven's post about "getting" Spidey's New York Jewish type of humor.

Because they're some of the most talented young actors in Hollywood, who cares about their nationality? What's with all these Brits?

Tom looks more like Peter Parker to me. I also get the feeling he could handle the humor of Spider-Man better than Asa could.
