Sounds like Emma Watson. :)

I feel confident that unless Isaac stops acting entirely and focuses solely on his education, he'll start getting plumb movie roles eventually, just like Emma.

Of course, what he does with his life is entirely up to him, so only time will tell what ultimately happens. :)

I don't think he'll stops acting. He seems to like this life, he said that loves to go to public events, the set life. But I don't think that he would like to do franchises anymore, that demand really too much time.

No, I won't fail him.
Any day now, could be right after the weekend, there will be a new list and Isaac could be included (just a wish of mine)

Hey, what about Chandler "door slammer" as Harry?

I doubt. Isaac doesn't want to do films now. He is concentrate in school.

And now here is the non-historian Tom Holland

I actually think the pitch of his voice is better for Peter Parker than Asa's. If he turned that into an American accent, it could sound more like some of the cartoon versions we've heard. The problem with Asa is that it's deep (as if it has just broken) and sounds rather dry and almost monotonous. I think Tom has a more musical voice, and given that it's a little higher pitched and melifluous, it might suit the rapid-fire wisecracking better than Asa's deeper voice.

He still looks older! :oldrazz:

No, seriously, he looks a bit more like Pete to me. Seems nice enough. Can he hold up against Robert Downey Jr in the quipping department? And can he do it in an American accent?

I hope he will continue as an actor. He could work with Sofia Coppola, play the lead in a romantic fairy tale (really following Watson's path, then) and a lot of other interesting things

When there is talk of Marvel wanting zits for Peter, is that an indirect reference to the mole on Tom's chin? Does that qualify as a big zit? Are they subtly hinting that maybe he has the part?

I don't know. He never did an American film.

Wait, it's down to Tom and Asa? Sweeet! Let's go Tom!

Woo-hoo! All aboard the Tom Holland hype train! In regards to Holland's American accent, it sounds like he's using one in the new movie with him and Hemsworth

Let's go Asa.

Tom Holland's nose is too pointy (IMO) for the role of Peter.

When I think of a HS-age Peter Parker, I immediately think of the Ultimate Spider-Man version of the character, and even if the MCU Spidey isn't explicitly based off of that version of the character, I think Asa embodies the essence of a HS-age Peter better just because of the way he looks (in spite of not having actually watched any of the stuff he's been in).

Holland must have earned some money by now, so why hasn't he done something about the mole? And will Marvel tell him to keep it there since they want zits for Peter? It's very distracting though.

The mole has gone hasnt it?

The mole has gone hasnt it?

I don't know. Has it? I haven't seen anything from this year. But maybe Marvel will want it back in some form because they want zits.

Sounds like an American accent at 1:15 mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_n2CAhgPiA

Difficult to tell how he'd sound in an extended dialogue in an american accent. But his voice sounds more like how I would imagine Spidey's than Asa's does.

I wonder if him having worked with Chris Hemsworth would help him at all. Maybe Hemsworth might put in a good word.

Everyone is on here talking about Tom Holland and Asa Butterfield, and I'm just sitting here still praying Dylan O'Brien gets the role...

Come and join me on the Tom Holland train :woot:

Sweet Sassy Malasi!!! he sounds EXACTLY like Peter Parker from this game:

Well isn't that a better Spidey voice than Asa's then? Asa's, as I've said, is a little too deep and too monotonous. It sounds more of that dry British accent and also tone of voice, whereas Tom's is slightly higher pitched and doesn't sound like it has just broken. Spidey needs a fairly smooth sounding voice and not too monotonous if he is going to pull off that quick-fire quippage.
