Teenage Peter Parker, bruh.

Btw, to anyone who says that Peter can't have blue eyes:

MJ tho. :hrt:

This is an AWESOME J. Scott Campbell piece of art. Thanks for sharing that, never seen this before.

This is my brother, 17 on the left 21 on the right. As you can see he was a skinny dude, but he was able to put on the muscle.

I think my brother (in the pic on the left) look pretty similar to Asa in build. So what I'm saying is, I'm sure Asa will be able to put on some muscle, it'll just take some time that's all.

That is several years of body building. Asa would have months to pile of pounds of solid muscle.

Asa realistically, with his body type, wouldn't be able to get into a good Spidey physique in time for Civil War, probably not even for the solo movie. It amuses me when people say "oh, just use padding" - what does he do when he's not in the suit, then? Always wear a puffy jacket?

Funny enough, that's exactly how Peter hides his physique in a few versions from the comics and cartoons. wearing puffy clothing.

Basically, there are people that want to see the same things over and over again. Because we haven't seen the muscular superhero a million times.
I want to see a skinny hero, someone you buy is still in high school. Give me something different.

But not every boy in high school is a stick figure. Boys in high school have varying physiques. If this is Peter's physique post-spider bite, then what was he like pre-spider bite? A skeleton?

I don't think anyone is asking for/or expecting, some hulked out Spider-man...

lol

but, the character has never really been "skinny" by any means, very lean/tone but still muscular, sure

I also don't see the correlation between him being skinny and him looking like he's in highschool ? we're already getting a much younger actor then we've see before (I mean I get not wanting to see another 25-30 y.o. playing a high schooler) but, I don't see what that has to do with his body type, not all high school kids are skinny... I don't see where having the young teen actor get in shape would change him looking like a teenager

Yeah that totally looks like Asa Butterfield. And he's buff in that picture. What point was you making exactly?

It's not even the fact that they're blue. It's his entire face and overall image (not saying he has a bad face ha, just for PP yeah). And yeah, his 'blue' eyes are a little intense. But I don't even think it's the blue eyes that are the problem, Tobey had blue eyes. They just weren't like this as with Asa

Ah the good ol' casting days

When people argue about everything from an actor's forehead to the length of his arms :D

LOL Asa doesn't even remotely looks like your brother in either of those pics. Besides that wasn't the point that other user was trying to make, there are certain bodytypes that have a really hard time building muscle whereas others can do it very easily and it seems Asa fits the former category.

I don't wanna see something different for the sake of being different, besides we're not talking about a normal teen, Peter is a superhero!!!

I just think it's a moot point when the picture that has been used doesn't resemble the actor who has blue eyes in the first place

Agreed
