I was trying to come up with a possible connection between the picture and the Spider-Man films to find why posting that was relevant in any way, but I can't find any beyond that Chalamet has been rumoured as a previous Spider-Man contender.

No, it's a totally unrelated event - I just found it amusing that he did a performance with the brother of one of his rival contenders (and with a former one) while everyone's waiting for the decision. I wonder if they talked about the subject afterwards.

I'm pretty sure Marvel will reveal the suit when they want to. I wouldn't be surprised if set photos leak and we don't get an official pic.

Come on almost all ms movies as of late we got some official reveal of costumes prior to said characters are shooting. Same goes with raimi and Webb serirs. Photo released prior to on location filming. No way marvel would want some crappy leak photo in wrong lighting and context reveal suit.

I don't think they're gonna want our first look at the suit, to be some blurry set photo.

Not just MS but Deadpool, X-Men, BVS, and Suicide Squad did too.

Age of Ultron we saw pretty much every non-CGI costume / character onset before any official reveals. Pretty sure same applies to Winter Soldier. There weren't any set photos of Rudd in the Ant-Man suit. Marvel don't seem that bothered about costumes being revealed in set photos before official reveals... They don't even do official reveals anyway.

Something tells me they might with Spidey though.

Because they're just as stubborn over not revealing the actor as we are over wanting them to reveal it.

Lol It will probably all be revealed at once. That is my bet. Actor and suit probably been set for a bit. And they probably wanted to lock in director before reveal. Even though russo's are working with kid first.

Again like I bring up things like this for big productions are just not signed and dudes are on sets the next say. Things take time to get ready and all that actor really had to been locked in for awhile.

Solo film director could be held off for a bit. Since filming wouldn't be starting on solo to spring next yr. And all counts on how much pre production and how hands on director is on that stuff. He could be revealed later in the summer.

They will probably announce the actor, but since Spidey is not supposed to be the main character, they won't see the need to release costume pics so early, less chances of leaks too since in costume filming maybe for a short period of time, since its supposedly a cameo and maybe indoors/non-public-set

They maybe planning on releasing pics close to the release or in the trailers to build up hype, like they did with Vision

Again all counts on how long actor is there. How many peter vs spidey scenes he is in. It makes far more sense if actor the director and suit is all set. To reveal it all at the same time.

As for amount of time pete/Spidey is in the film we don't know. Yes he isn't a main character and won't have the most screen time that be cap and stark. But again if the guy is there for a few days to a few weeks. It could still in film equal out to at least 10 mins. We need to see peter meet with at least stark and cap. Learn a bit on peter and what's his views on them both. Then at least a scene or two of spidey in action. No way he is just reduced to a Stan Lee type role. Or guy is on set for like less then a day.

That would be kinda sucky business strategy. Marvel isn't some brat that holds on to reveals like a bully who wont give a geek his glasses back or something. There will be scenes shot outside and the suit will be revealed officially before that. They might as well have a flattering high quality picture as the reveal if it gets revealed on set couple days after anyway
