Well folks will probably get more excited once we know spidey is filming and see some pics.

I'm straight up about to give up and leave superherohype for a while. I just want to focus on other things a couple months and when I come back, news and reveals will have come down like rain

I was thinking about doing the same, it's depressing coming to this desert wasteland... I swear I've seen 3 tumbleweeds today.

No, to me he just wouldn't fit in the classroom in the states. He'd look out of place.
You mean because of how his voice sounds and how he dresses?
But you know, he can just change clothes to LOOK more American

For me I still feel asa just is missing some traits that don't make him a total fit. And I do hope he isn't pocked. But if he is again sure I be a bit sad at first. And just hope in the end he does nail the role.

Build/physique - Actor can go down the gym.

Clothes/dress sense - clothes provided by the clothing department.

quips - haven't seen the actors in question given enough comedic roles to judge one way or the other.

No. Because of the way he looks. Has nothing to do with his voice or his clothes.

Still my one concern with asa besides can he do humor. Is his present body type and build. He has the height. But he has such a small frame. I really don't see him being able to add and good muscle mass and size to him. Ans I don't want to see spidey look like a twig next to cap and thor now and still look the same body type come 4 or 5 films later. I want to see someone with 616 body in time.

El Maybe just posted that his spider-senses are tingling!!!

I think I'm leaning more towards Asa again, but I still absolutely ADORE Tom for the role.

It will be hilarious if we actually find out who is cast as Spider-Man today after our arguments.

Andrew Garfield was obviously British too. Its called ACTING, which is what is in question here. If Marvel's interested in Asa and he's gotten as far as the final two candidates, I'm pretty sure Marvel has already figured out he can do an American accent.

Fixed. Because everyone who normally makes that point capitalises it. :o

Spider-Man has never looked like a completely skinny beanpole though. He has always at least had some muscle tone, and might look sinewy. He doesn't just look like a completely straight twig, which is what Asa looks like. If you put him in the tight Spider-Man costume, he'll just look like a Pepperami stick.

There's padding that can be added to the suit, to add definition if Asa looks like a twig in the Spider-Man suit.

I want there to be a clear contrast between the adult heroes and the kid playing at being a hero. I want to see something new and fresh.

Asa will look amazing in the suit. anyone can workout in the Gym.

Besides, he's a 15 year-old kid

Anyone can workout. But to add muscle in two weeks or so and some people just cannot add the muscle mass.

I don't care if he does. If he is signed on for 3 movies, you be able to see him evolve as a hero both physically and mentally over the course of 3 years.

They can easily add padding to his suit for Civil War.

And btw, how do you guys know that Asa will have a hard time building muscle? none of his past roles have ever required it.

The thing is, Marvel is known to cast actors with comic backgrounds (Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd). And now for their most humorous hero, I find it odd that they are NOT going for actors with comic backgrounds.

That's when you guys told me about an up and coming actor who plays the comic relief on a TV show and has a love of Spider-Man and a strong desire to play the role, it would make sense Marvel would go that route.

Seriously, the only negative for Dylan O'Brien, is the seeming insistence they want a really young looking teen instead of a possibly late teen.

Completely agree, people seem to assume he will put a lot of muscle in just a couple of weeks.
