A month ago I would have never believed that we wouldn't know the actor by now. This is very frustrating.

Well antman is july. They could very well while doing civil wsr shoot something for one of antman stingers. But we will have to wait and see. I don't recall if any news on antman post scenes have come up yet.

As for actor no way it be kept secret who is shooting for civil war. Look so far for firdt few weeks they been very public on the streets of atlanta. And no way actor wouldn't be spotted on srt. Same when they are off set at hotel or out to eat. They will be spotted. We will most likely get actor and the suit revealed together before his shooting.

Heck they could announce it next week. And in announcement reveal details on his shoot time. Like how long actor will shoot and so for.

Exactly, I doubt they'll try to keep it a secret. The moment the ink is dry on the deal it'll be revealed. Just hasn't happened yet because this is a big decision that a lot of people have to agree on. The entire franchise could hinged on it. I bet their doing quite a bit of test footage. Plus we still don't know the extent of Spidey's appearance in civil war, could be a supporting role or a 30 second cameo that could be filmed in post production. That's what they did with Hawkeye in Thor. Could be this week could be two months from now, no one knows.

Random I doubt actor hasn't signed already. I still feel actor been signed and locked in for at least a month. As I and others have brought up. Guy can't be say for example signed on Fri and shooting that coming monday. No way. Dude needs time to prep for shoot. Read his script. Arrange travel and hotel stay for time he will be shooting. Has to go through costume fitting and tedts. And other little things. I still feel the actor is set. And marvel just been holding off. To make some big splashy news reveal on actor and the new suit. Come on do folks really think they don't have someone locked in yet. For type of role spidey is and type of film. They have there guy.

Also come on you think for first time mcu gets to use spidey it be a mere Stan Lee cameo or 1 min post credits sting. No they will want to really use him. Along the lines of like vision in aou. He had 8 to 10 mins. I expect that for spidey. I would do like 2 peter scenes and 2 spidey scenes. So we as peter grt to see his views on the mcu heroes. And then two big action scenes that spidey be a part of. So marvel can have a big wow moment with him.

I concede they could hold off for a splashy display (In fact I'd prefer if they did) but there's only a realistic amount of time they can hold that off before it leaks. Yeah, Hugh Jackman was cast as Wolverine while the movie had already started filming. Who's to say it won't happen again?

The Wrap confirmed that he would shoot his scenes in June, Marvel/Sony are moving very slow, case closed.

Its a good thing they're taking their time. It shows they dont want to make any mistakes this time and take time to plan everything out.

That's the thing though we have no real clue if testing is still going. Or if it's been done for awhile. And all the news we been getting for the last few weeks is just slightly out of date info now coming to light.

I still can't see them trsting. More so if the guy is to be on set first or second week. As pointed out. They need some prep time. Have to get access to script. Book hotel and travel info. And then go in for costume fittings and all that. These things take weeks to a month or two to be set and ready to go be free said person is due to shoot.
