Arguing who was on what/if there even were any shortlist, really? I can't wait to see how this debating degrades any further, specially since it won't effect Marvel's and Sony's decision at all.


That's whi you should always take rumors with a grain of salt. Lot of types people with either make up source, mishear rumors, or get out of date info. Sometimes studios will even purposely leak a fake rumor, like say they want an actor to agree to a role, they'll leak a more famous actor being "interested" or "in talks" to convince the first actor to take the role before it's gone. Remember how Jessie Eisenberg was on all of those rumored lists for Lex Luthor? Me neither. The point is, rumors and sources should be view in a general sense, not under a microscope.

I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing out exactly what you just said. So called sources aren't always reliable and everything should be taken as a rumor until otherwise confirmed.

@Random @Spider-Sonic Like what kind of direction? the statements Feigue himself made line up with what the Trades are reporting, do you really believe Kevin Feigue himself would make all of this up? he specifically said that he wants Peter to stay in High-School longer than the previous films, that's EXACTLY what Variety, Collider, The Wrap and Deadline are reporting, it isn't a ruse made up to hide Dylan O'Brien or something... God.

And El Mayimbe said he 'hoped' we'd get an announcement before MD not we 'will'.

I can't believe people are asking for them to take even LONGER to pick and announce the actor. it'll only make things Worse.

IMO, Holland is much better than Butterfield. Now, Butters was great in Hugo and X+Y... but man, Holland in The Impossible is a whole other level. Not to mention he has much greater range and honestly just seems much more lively and upbeat.

He also doesn't look like a vampire.

Idk, I'm not into keeping tabs on young teenage boy actors. Not my style.

That is exactly why they shouldn't be going for mere children or this high school angle. I can think of more actors in their early to mid twenties who loom more the part than the kids on that short list. The talent pool is just bigger. But that's neither here nor there now is it.
