Spidey will most certainly be seen in the marketing, from day one. Even if it's just shots of Peter Parker at first, and then shots of him as Spidey in the later trailers.

I don't think they really need to include him in the marketing (not saying they definitely wont) just saying, its Caps movie, that already features a large amount of the averages cast

thats already a big enough selling point, they don't need to focus on Spider-man being in it at all... that's just kind'v an added bonus

To be going up after BVS (with the ga going 'they copied the hero vs hero story') it might be a necessary wow factor

I doubt it, Vision and Quicksilver weren't even in the first trailer of their movies so I don't expect Spidey to be in the first trailer. I agree that he will be in the marketing but just enough to attract new audiences without stealing Cap's spotlight

They could include him in the marketing in the same manner they did Vision.
They held back on Vision Until we got closer to the release of AOU.
It worked for the Vision as did his limited role in the film.

Vision and Quicksilver aren't nearly as big of a draw to the general audience as Spider-Man being in the same film as other Marvel heroes. I think it's a different situation here.

Ya they won't reduce him to post credits or just have one small Stan Lee type cameo for him. He is marvel golden boy. And we know they been after him for yrs.

Now sure I don't see or expect him to be a major support role or take up the most time. That will be 1. Cap. 2. Stark 3. Clint and widow. 4. Panther. But if we end up some where along the lines of widow in im2 and vision in aou. I say it be good for spidey.

Again we have to look at it this way. We are introducing him to mcu world. We know peter will have to minium meet with cap and stark. To see his views on them. And who he draws closer to. Then spidey scene thst gets him in connection with the rest of the heroes. And then be apart of the big battle towards end of movie. Then a final peter scene.

Yes but this is not an Avengers or X-Men movie either, its Captain American's movie and Spidey is not a main character in it, if he's in it for too long then he will outshine cap

No he won't. Marvel makes that stuff work.

Why do folks think he be like a Stan Lee cameo or just be a post scene. Come on like I said earlier. They been after spidey for yrs. No way now they can use him he won't make a big splash intro. Again if he is in the film ala widow in im2 or vision in aou. He wouldn't over shine or be taking more from cap.

Look at aou for example. Cap was like in it for 50 mins. Stark around 45 mins. Widow and hawkeye around 30 mins. Thor 15 mins. And vision 8 minutes.

For civil war I would see it the same. Cap 50 mins. Stark around 40 mins. BP probably around 15mins. Along with widow Clint and guys like general Ross and Martin Freeman character. So if spidey is around 10 to 15 mins. I don't see that he be hogging time.

Again we will have to have a first intro scene of spidey in action. Where he likely gets attention of himself to avengers eyes. He has to have a few scenes meeting and seeing his views on cap and stsrk views of hero work. Then of course be in the big climax fight. And then one final peter scene.

it all depends how big his role is in the movie, if he is only a cameo as some suggested, then I'd rather not see him in the teaser (as I wouldn't want to be spoiled to his cameo) it'd be like putting Stan Lee's cameo in the trailer (you know it's coming, but, you want to be surprised)

but, if he has a descent size role, an is important to the plot, then yes I could see him being in the trailer

I was going to say the exact same thing. Spider-Man is a character that would benefit being seen to some degree, he's on a different level of exposure compared to QS and Vison.

I still doubt spidey be there for just a cameo ala Stan Lee deal. If that been they cause. They could have shot something already and not need peter to next yr to dub in some audio. And since we know they are still after peter or by now have there peter. And we are just waiting. It's more likely to be. Peter and spry has a few scenes. I expect like 2 spidry scenes. And 3 pete scenes that total around 10 to 15 mins of films screen time.

The fact that people are beggining to think that lets me know we're beggining to loose all sense of enthusiasm and interest for this announcement. The fact of which would lead one to believe they've been holding the announcement off too long. But really they haven't. This is exactly how long it should take to cast a big role like Spider-Man.

So apparently both Charlie Rowe and Matt Litz made strong impressions and are in the runnings for the spidey actor, but Asa and Tom are both still "the frontrunners".
Glad to see Charlie Rowe is getting noticed, and a new person who I haven't seen mentioned too!
What are peoples opinions on this?

Most people don't want Lintz, except for DigificWriter. Everyone thinks he looks 10 or 12 except for him. Lintz is 5ft tall.
